It's going to be hard to find a better apartment complex than Arterra Woods.
Pros:
- Outstanding staff
- Excellent maintenance team
- The community is very clean and it feels like suburbia.
- The apartment design is great and feels modern. We have a 1 bed/1 bath, and it's very spacious, clean, and it allows for a lot of flexibility with our furniture. You also get a ton of storage with the outdoor closet and the bathroom cabinets. The heaters are also not noisy at all.
- The kitchen comes with a microwave, and there are lights in the bedroom. For some reason, many other apartments don't have those features.
- Easy parking. You get 1 free carport right next to your apartment included, and the uncovered spots are first-come, first-serve, including for guests.
- Quiet and safe location. You are not near any noisy roads and you are surrounded by lots of nature (as a plus, you get cherry blossoms in the spring and colors in the fall).
- Solid amenities. You get a pool for the warm months, a hot tub year round, and a fitness center year round.
- You are less than a mile from downtown Bothell and about 2 miles from I-405. We run a lot and it's great that we can just run to the Sammamish River Trail without having to drive there.
- Safeway, Safeway Fuel, and QFC are less than a mile away.
Cons:
- It can get hot in the summer. Of course, most rental units near Seattle won't have a central AC, but you can get by with a portable AC.
- The kitchen space feels a little small. It's not a dealbreaker for us, but we have to try and make the most of what we got.
- It's not uncommon to see people smoking outside of the complex. The property itself is smoke-free at least.
- They do construction near the leasing office often, which means you'll lose access to the fitness center and hot tub when they do that. Not a dealbreaker, and at least they are putting in the effort to enhance the resident experience.
We love it here and don't have plans to move elsewhere anytime soon. While there are some cons, just like anywhere else, the pros absolutely make up for it. They have done an excellent job here.
