  Brandon is my go-to Realtor in Bellingham and Whatcom County for all of my clients looking to buy or sell there. His background in home inspection and residential construction, not to mention decades as a top Realtor, have given him a lens on houses and their sometimes-hidden stories that set him apart in a big way. He has the "teacher's heart" as well, and goes out of his way to get everyone informed so they can make good decisions. In particular, his work with sellers to repair and optimize their property prior to listing, taking on a project manager role sometimes for months before a listing goes live, are why I refer business to him with total confidence. I strongly recommend Brandon Nelson if you are looking to buy or sell in Whatcom County.

  Where to start?? We feel so fortunate that Brandon and Doreen were the ones guiding us through our real estate transactions. Any issues were addressed immediately. They reduced our stress throughout the process of selling the house we lived in for 20 years and buying our next home. Their knowledge of Bellingham neighborhoods, market conditions, contractors, repair costs, movers etc. was amazing. Experience and trust is essential. They have it. They earned it. We've moved many times over the past 40 years and dealt with many realtors. Brandon and Doreen are the best we've ever dealt with. The fact that only one minor repair was needed after the buyer's inspection showed us that following their advice and suggestions was absolutely the right move to sell our house quickly. We had a buyer on day one! Being a former home inspector, Brandon also helped us so much when choosing the right house to move to. My wife and I are almost 80 years old so moving wasn't going to be fun. It's stressful at any age. But Brandon and Doreen listened and strove to understand us and our needs. We felt well taken care of. They went well beyond what is normally done. Brandon surprised us by having his son pressure wash the concrete walkways around our new house before we moved in.   We were referred to Brandon Nelson through our daughter’s colleague, and we would strongly recommend Brandon to anyone who is looking for a GREAT realtor. Brandon is a consummate professional, knowledgeable of and involved in the local communities, and exceedingly patient. We went to this one property eight different times and he met us there every time, bringing in local contractors that he has personally worked with to give us estimates for potential work to be done - I’m talking well inspection and water analysis, crawl-spaces, remodeling contractors, and home inspectors - he knows all the top people in the county and they all like working with Brandon. I was surprised when he took out coveralls and a mask and headlamp to crawl into the attic and under the house we were considering purchasing, but with his prior background as a contractor and as a home inspector, he was literally prepared to go above and beyond (or, in this case get down and dirty!) He is down-to-earth and easy to get along with, has a very outgoing personality, and loves dogs. When he was scheduled to be out of town, he facilitated connections with his colleagues to make sure we had available resources for touring homes or completing paperwork in his absence. He’s a genuinely good human being and we deeply appreciate all his help in finding and purchasing our new home.
