  Refinanced twice, the second time was with this company. Didn’t matter what the house came in at because I was well below the 80% threshold but Roarie missed over 200sqft in his measurement that was in the previous two appraisals by separate companies (when bought and refinanced the second time) and also was over $200k less than the previous appraisal basically not including any of the improvements made on the home.

  If I could give 0 stars I would. Raurie deserves for his license to be revoked. If you can’t tell from the years of horrible reviews this man has received. Cascade Appraisal was contracted through our buyers lender to appraise our home, he had 4 comparable homes he used, all which supported the listing price of our home. Mind you, I also have video of this man talking to his trainee in my home telling him how high end and gorgeous my house is. His first appraisal was incorrect and stated we only had a 1 car garage, and deducted $20k, once we asked him to revise it to the correct 2 car, he only added on $10k . Because that makes sense!? Again 4 comparable homes supporting our price yet he comes in $30k under. USE ANYBODY BUT THIS COMPANY OR THIS MAN.

  My Lender hired Cascade Appraisal and Raurie McGinnis as an appraiser. Poor quality appraisal report and they took 2 weeks to complete the appraisal. The report had multiple mistakes, the comparable houses he used were not comparable and most of all he used the wrong sale prices for comparable houses from NWMLS. This appraiser’s license should be revoked for doing such a poor job. Dead slow in getting the reports out and because of this my closing date was significantly affected and created a stressful situation. With this report, I have gotten multiple other appraisal report from other appraisers to prove that this company’s report is flawed. I will move forward in finding ways to make them legally answerable to me and also that they don’t repeat this to anyone else in the future.

  I wish there is a 0 star option for this company. If you are reading this review, please run away from this company... I had a terrible experience with this company and their appraisal will be atleast 20% lower than others with no explanation. Bad part is I ended up paying $900. Terrible terrible experience.

  Was refinancing and the lender hired Raurie McGinnis. We contacted him to go over some of our safety concerns considering we are in the middle of a pandemic. He was very condescending and, frankly, rude to us during the phone call. Most importantly, he was very insensitive and dismissive of our concern about him entering our home in the middle of the pandemic (he refused to wear gloves, use hand sanitizer, or wear an N95 mask). When trying to explain why we were concerned, he literally laughed at us and said that it's "too bad" that we are fearful of the virus. Absolutely unprofessional and rude. After our call with him, we contacted our lender and requested a different appraiser. Luckily, we weren't stuck with Raurie and were able to get someone else. We definitely don't recommend Cascade Appraisal and especially Raurie McGinnis!
