Update:
Even with paying for parking, this place DOES NOT TOW-even though they claim that they do. When told about illegally parked cars and the promise to have them towed, they are still here. What is the money for paying to park going to?
Smoking-even though it clearly states that smoking is illegal on the premises, inside apartments, etc, even when the leasing office was told that there were people still smoking on their decks and pictures were taken, nothing was done about it.
This place has a deaf ear and a blind eye towards stuff. For the $1900+ that this place is getting out of each renter, THEY CAN DO BETTER but won't.
Old review but still is true...nothing's changed:
Before you sign ANYTHING with this place, make sure you ask about ALL FEES UP FRONT. This place-since they went under new management-are quick to add fees. If you renew your lease, they stick a $400 amenity fee onto your first month of your renewal time WITHOUT ANY PRIOR KNOWLEDGE! They claim it's to pay for "keeping the buildings clean outside, keeping the pool clean, etc." Seems to me the residents are paying for everything.
You are forced to pay for valet trash pickup even if you don't use it. That's on top of paying to put your trash in the bin by yourself -$50 total!
You pay to park-that's cool but there are plenty of folks parking there without proper stickers and since towing is supposed to be enforced-THAT THE RESIDENTS ARE PAYING FOR-there hasn't been a tow truck through there checking EVER.
They make the residents pay for some Smartrent lock-$15.
Residents are forced to pay for their "apartment insurance"-$15. Then they tell you, "You are not required to have rental insurance." They will not pay for anything if your items are ruined, destroyed, etc. from damages caused by fire, flooding, etc. caused by something in the apartment. If you have rental insurance, keep it. If you don't have it or canceled, get it back.
If you happen to get an apartment with "new appliances," you are paying for those new appliances with your rent as long as you stay there. If your apartment has old appliances and need to be replaced, they will find another piece of old appliance to replace the broken one you had-even if that one is on its last leg.
When it comes to security, that is another issue that they are not willing to fix-which should not be a problem with all the money they are getting from those who are paying rent and the extra fees.
Management will not help when you have a major issue or complaint. They are quick to send it to someone else and pray you forget about it unless you threaten to sue.
To make a long story short, make sure to reread the fine print twice and ask for every fee up front before signing anything with this place. They do not pay for anything, and on top of your rent, be expecting to pay an additional $125+ extra fees each month-with the majority of that you are forced to pay without ever using the items associated with the extra costs. Keep a copy of everything associated with them because they are quick to change things on you without your knowledge or consent.
