My parents lived at Jamestown Commons for the past two years and recently moved out due to a series of unresolved issues that made their stay increasingly difficult. From the start, the property showed signs of neglect. Common areas were rarely cleaned thoroughly, and the overall maintenance of the complex left much to be desired.
One of the most serious and persistent problems was a cockroach infestation. Despite repeated complaints to management, the issue was never properly addressed. Instead of taking responsibility or offering meaningful solutions, management routinely dismissed concerns with responses like, “What do you expect?” — a troubling attitude that reflects a lack of accountability and respect for residents.
Beyond the pest problem, there were other signs of poor management. Maintenance requests were often delayed or ignored, and communication with the office staff was inconsistent at best. Residents were left feeling unheard and unsupported, which created a stressful living environment.
There’s also a noticeable lack of community at Jamestown Commons. While the property advertises resident activities and events, these are only held sporadically — and only when the director feels inclined to organize them. There’s no consistent effort to foster connection among neighbors or build a welcoming atmosphere, which leaves many residents feeling isolated.
Ultimately, my parents felt they had no choice but to leave. No one should have to tolerate unsanitary conditions or be made to feel like their concerns are irrelevant. A home should be a place of comfort, safety, and community — unfortunately, Jamestown Commons failed to provide any of these.

DON'T NOT BRING YOUR LOVED HERE, they are horrible, my disabled mother is living there at this exact moment unable to use her kitchen due to the fact the sink will not drain properly and water and mold is standing at the bottom of sink, and management is unconcerned and won't send anyone to fix it.
