My partner and I recently moved from out of state to Virginia, and we were so fortunate to work with Randy during our leasing process at Rise. He was incredibly professional, patient, and responsive — always taking the time to explain every detail clearly. We truly appreciate his kindness, organization, and care throughout the entire experience. Randy made what could have been a stressful relocation feel easy and welcoming.

The concierge, specifically Mohamed and Chris are truly so great. Both of them are kind, respectful, and always patient. They go out of their way to help residents and handle requests right away, no matter how small. It’s rare to find people who are consistently professional and care about making everyone’s experience nice. I really appreciate everything they do.

Bolden: Great Location, Needs Major Management Overhaul I've lived at Bolden for five years, and while the building has potential, the resident experience is consistently frustrating due to management and security issues. Concerns: - Security Risk: The main front door is almost always ajar, creating a major safety concern. On top of that, my vehicle was towed without any notice. As a resident that pays for parking monthly you can imagine how I felt. - Package Chaos: With no concierge and a constantly outdated call box, delivery drivers can’t get in. Packages are left vulnerable between the doors, and I've lost several. - Communication: Manager Jacob encourages outreach but never responds to calls or emails. Phone number listed in other reviews never gets picked up. - False Maintenance: Requests are routinely marked as "completed" by maintenance even though the issue wasn't fixed, forcing me to re-submit tickets repeatedly. - Pet Cleanup: It's dog-friendly, which is great, but be prepared for frequent accidents by the main entrance. The bottom line: Bolden could be a fantastic place to live. They’re several 5 stars reviews as you can see and wish my experience was like theirs. Issues with security, maintenance follow-through, and management responsiveness make living here difficult at times. We need significant improvements to communication and building access.

Terrible communication from management – be careful when you move out. I lived at The Rise Apartments in Tysons for two years and honestly loved the community itself — the amenities and neighborhood were great. However, my experience with property management after move-out was extremely disappointing. Before leaving, I informed both the inspection team and management that I’d be traveling internationally and asked if there was anything else I needed to pay after move-out. I was assured multiple times that my security deposit would cover everything and that I wouldn’t owe anything further. Four months later, while I was overseas, I came back to find that the property had sent an unpaid balance to collections — completely calling me. I had to deal with the credit company directly and pay around $400, but by then my credit score had already taken a hit. What’s frustrating isn’t the amount — it’s the lack of responsibility and transparency. When you’re paying almost $5,000 a month in rent, you expect basic communication and professionalism. I feel completely misled and ignored by management. Great community, but the worst communication I’ve ever experienced. Be cautious when you move out — get everything in writing.
