I'm more than grateful to have moved here. I've been looking since April of this year and have been turned down by so many places. Soon as I spoke to the guy at the desk he was helpful he even showed me a 2 bedroom which I was looking for a 3 bedroom but that was ok. I applied and got the phone call for a move in date and had no issues at all. Everyone I have spoke with have been so polite and professional I definitely like that! My only issue was how my neighbor introduced herself she was asking alot of questions which I don't mind but at least introduce yourself first say your name or something don't be asking me alot of questions. But overall I like it here!!!

When the property was Hampton Roads Crossing it was a pretty good experience. Since transitioning to Century Hampton Roads it’s been pretty downhill. It takes weeks for maintenance to respond to requests, office staff can be pretty rude, there’s an increase of bugs in the apartments, major decrease in community events, and there is almost always bags of trash outside of some apartments with this flawed trash service they have. Overall I wouldn’t consider this complex worth the price since it became Century Hampton Roads!!

I have been thoroughly disappointed since I moved in the very first day July 31 and it hasn't even been 60days yet! I deleted my last post because I thought perhaps I was being to harsh but no I was being honest. I lived here from 2019 to 2024 when it was Hampton Roads Crossing and I loved the staff. They handled their business ,apologized and atleast offered something for a major issue i had once before. I trust the only person I knew from before, the maintenance Supervisor.
I moved back here because of the school system and thinking though new management it would only be better. I was seriously mistaken. I never even had a walk through of my 2 bedroom apartment which is actually to be exact 496 more a month the base rent not including the other " stuff " My rent was 1608 for a 2 bedroom 2 bath from 2023 to 2024 and yes it was handicap modified. My rent NOW is 2096 not handicap modified and literally NOTHING TO SHOW FOR THE INCREASE! There was a laundry list of issues with this apartment from DAY 1! From the old filthy appliances, to the toilet rocking, cracked and leaking so it couldn't be used, to a cabinet piece hanging off and a shelf unusable , to neither fans in the bathrooms working, the bathtub and sinks were clogged so they filled up, a few electric outlets being so warn you plug something in and it falls out. No key for the storage on porch. The bathrooms tub and shower were not clean had hair in them.Then there was never even a filter in the AC UNIT. Which the office wanted to tell me is now my job to change when I said the filter indicator has been blinking on the thermostat since I moved in. When is it the responsibility of the tenant to maintain the AC/HEATING System? That is what my 2200$( after the bells and whistles) a month is for! I would most certainly be charged if I left the apartment in the condition it was given to me in. Because of my complaint about the appliances I was given a new stove, washer and dryer. The stove fantastic it actually has wifi. However they gave me a new 2013 washer and dryer. And the low end model not even H.E which most washer and dyers the last decade are. Not even the quality of the last decade! Like giving me a brand new tube TV NO WIFI NO HDMI INPUTS NO FLAT SCREEN. Make it make sense. But because it is new is what the office told me they feel they have handled their obligation and it will be up to the property manager. My quality of washing and drying is terrible! There is only a compartment for bleach. You have to listen for the rinse and run and add your fabric softener. You can tell by the settings its outdated. The dryer leaves everything wrinkled and doesn't filtrate the leant. I have to be selective about when i wash my whites because when i washed colors after and thank God it was towels well it had bleach spots on them. The model that was filthy and old when i moved in was actually newer than the one just given to me. I was told how none of the units have H.E models. That is untrue. My last 2 apartments that i lived in here had H.E models. Now unless new management has went through every apartment and changed them out to older models 🙄The H.E models save the tenant money its less water. Which i pay for. Keeping the AC filter actually in and changed every 3 mos.saves me on my eletric bill. The electric company states that. This unit i was told cost more because it is upgraded. There is no upgrade. White countertops?? It only shows all the spots more. Fixtures, mirrors, cabinets and everything are original and the same. Where is the justification? The spectrum service and valet trash I pay for that I have no choice in. There was no wiring at all for Spectrum and I had to have a tech come out 2x. Which they only give you equipment for 1 room! You better make it count. Don't call it luxury when that indicates quality and the quality atleast for my apartment was not luxury nor upgraded. Needless to say I will definitely not be renewing my lease if I get thru this one. Your welcome to whoever moves in after me.
