Allen's Home Sales, Inc is the oldest dealer of Fleetwood homes in the country and has been locally and family-owned and operated since 1972. As an independent dealer, we are not owned by the manufacturers. Instead, the manufacturer works for us. Our loyalty is always to the customer and not the manufacturer.
Just bought a new mobile home with Allen's. While the weather has been a challenge this year, Allen's has been on the ball and super communicative the entire time. When they say they'll do something, it gets done! Follow-up has been great too when they've contracted out with people to ensure things were done correctly. Highly recommend Allen's Homes to anyone looking for a mobile home.

We are so pleased with our new "Allen" home. While currently living in Tx my husband and I decided to build our retirement home in VA. With the rising cost of building a home we decided it was more economical to purchase a manufactured home. After visiting and researching multiple builders we decided on Allen's Homes. From the very beginning we felt welcomed. Since we would be in Tx during the build we had to have complete trust in our builder and we found that trust in Allen's. The entire staff was wonderful. Always available to assist and answer any questions we had. Emily and Cara were simply "fantastic ". And owner Jeff Allen, was phenomenal, always on site, calling, emailing or texting us status. We were so informed during the build it was like we were there. From the permits to HVAC placement we were consulted throughout the process. As a result of working with Allen's we now have a beautiful home that we are so happy with. We were so blessed to have found Allen's Homes. I highly, highly recommend this "family" owned business. Thank you Allen's for all you have done. We couldn't be happier.

Update after Allen’s response: Now we are giving 1-Star, would give negative stars if possible. Allen’s is being 100% dishonest on all accounts, so we need to be address and clarify what happened with the truth, as I won’t stand for my reputation being tainted with false accusations when we have the facts on our side. 1st - ALLEN’S were the ones who requested to move the location of the home after the perc test so they could save on costs on not having to clear extra land! Which we followed through with and we contacted the soil scientist, then he drew up new plans which I can provide and I know he would back me up on. 2nd - Allen’s found out at the same time as us about the county wanting to test the land for contamination, we were all emailed by the same county employee at the same time stating it is standard procedure for all land in this county to be tested when new wells are being drilled, and I can provide the email to prove that too. Our well was just drilled and certified and our land was never declared to be contaminated. 3rd - Jeff Allen never “personally” called me, I had to chase him down and I was the one to call him myself. My dad would vouch for me because he was the one who told me to escalate and to call Jeff directly after Luke told us he could care less about money we already spent. Do not trust these people at all costs!

After visiting Allen’s, they came to our property and assured us there would be little to no issue with helping us put a manufactured home up. After clearing the conditions for our loan, and paying the application fees and appraisal, they then said the county was requiring us to drill the well before the building permit could be issued, and we then let them know we had no issue paying that ourselves out of pocket if that is what is necessary. Then, out of nowhere, months later while waiting for the well driller set up by them to come to our property, we were notified from Allen’s that they were withdrawing from our project because ultimately they were not satisfied with closing the loan before the well was drilled and were not willing to move forward because “every week it is something different with them” in reference to our county, which obviously is not something the customer can control.
We were very thrown off by this, especially being that they explained to us in great detail how they operated with higher morals and ethics than other companies, because unlike Clayton, they always drill the well first with their projects to ensure they can hit water, in direct opposition to the way Clayton operates with how they use dirty tactics where they would wait until after the house is put up and if the customer isn’t able to drill a well, Clayton will repossess and sell the home for profit. We then found out that there was a falling out between the loan officer (that they recommended to us) and Allen’s regarding the building permit which impacted our ability to buy our home through them. Needless to say, I think even Allen’s would agree it is poor business practice to take frustration with the county or loan officer out on the customer, especially when it was this far into the home-buying process. Of course, some counties may be more bureaucratic and unreasonable than others with the rules they implement, but even in this instance we would’ve thought Allen’s would’ve been on board with if they truly meant what they said with having the best interest of the customer in mind regarding the well drilling being completed first.
After being told they weren’t willing to help us, we brought up to them how we spent over $770 to pay for the appraisal and loan application. While at first admitting that we can’t use this appraisal for another home with whatever dealer we go through next and then basically telling us to pound sand and having such disregard for the expenses the we incurred, we found out how shiesty and how they seem to only care about their own money lost and nobody else's. Eventually, the owner agreed to recoup us only $600 of this.
