    This complex is infested with roaches, they are in the walls. Management takes weeks to send out pest control and it’s not enough. The package system is horrible, packages go missing and when trying to get a hold of management about this there is no response. I signed my lease as a part of a promotion to get one month free and I was still charged, after contacting the leasing office multiple times there has been no response and no help to try and work this out. Management does not change locks of mailboxes between tenants and one day I answered my door to find one of the many prior tenants with my mail in hand offering me their copy of the mail box key (I had been living in my unit for months at that point). Gym equipment is broken and the “movie theater” amenity has no chairs. When it comes to entry into the building tenants are supposed to have fobs for their keys but management doesn’t have any for current tenants and claims they are being ordered every time it is brought up (it’s been six months) so instead we have to rely on an app that only works with certain doors and is unreliable at best. Management is so focused on giving tours to possible residents that they give no care to the people who are already paying thousands to them. And again this place is infested with roaches. I don’t care how great the tour was, pick anywhere else to live.

    I recommend this building based on my interaction with Brian alone, His energy is encouraging, comforting and seemingly genuine. Brian made it easy for me to make this my top choice. Not to mention the price and location.

    Just had the absolute best, most caring experience with Brian and Alicia from Attain. Shockoe. I had been majorly stressing about renewing my lease at Cedar Broad, but Brian was above and beyond so kind and compassionate about my situation and gave me peace of mind that I am so grateful for. I’ve lived in a lot of apartments in a lot of places over the years, and I’ve honestly never met someone as caring as Brian. Having people in a leasing office like Brian and Alicia can make such a difference in terms of having an apartment complex feel like a home. These two actually care about the tenants’ well-being, and that is so refreshing.

    I arrived home late this evening and was having a phone conversation with a colleague about my master bedroom bathroom as I was getting out of my car. I was explaining that when I arrived from work, the night before, water was on the floor. Thankfully, the water was clean and clear and due to the late hour, and being exhausted, I simply used towels to clean up the water and used the other bathroom instead figuring id just put in a work order at some point over the weekend. After I got into the building, a young man introduced himself said he was on call with the maintenance team, identified himself as Jordan, and said he wasn't trying to be in my business but he overhead my dilemma and said although he knew it was late, he would be willing to help see what was causing the issue. Not only was Jordan respectful and made sure I felt safe, he assessed the issue, returned with some type of tool, explained that if that did not work maintenance would return the next day, asked if that was alright, and proceeded to try the tool thing, which worked. Jordan then made sure it worked by flushing it a few more times before leaving and then had me flush it to provide me with reassurance. As a person who prides myself is helping others, it was refreshing to know that Jordan made time to make sure my toilet was in working order. He could have simply kept walking and he could have put in a work order after finding out I had a second bathroom but Jordan took the extra step, even after hours, to make sure both of my toilets were fully operational. THIS is leadership, THIS is customer centric, THIS is why I'm giving 5 stars to Jordan at Attain Shockoe. Peace of mind is priceless, so thank you, Jordan, for putting my mind at ease. This teacher appreciates you!

    I am seriously unsatisfied with these apartments. I have been in this apartment now for almost a month with no heat. Today is the coldest day of this year with snow and ice outside. I have been complaining for the last three weeks about the heat unit and they dropped off an electrical heat unit that didn't even work that threw my electricity off and right now. I'm just disgusted. I moved in here.with a broken front door that was supposed to be replaced before I moved in at this point I don't even feel comfortable or safe here. The dishwasher was filthy with film in it. It didn't work and even if they got it to work, I wouldn't put any dishes in there because of the film and the horrible smell coming from it and the food disposal-and the fifth that's inside the dishwasher. No one inspected my apartment before I moved in here. not only did the dishwasher, not work and was filthy with film, nasty scum in it and the heat not working, but also there is a leak under the sink every time you turn the water on it leaks under the sink in the kitchen at this point, I'm disgusted with my choice to come here because the maintenance department has failed to respond and fix the issues at hand no communication no follow up phone calls to make sure that the Deal heat is on and everything has been rectified at this point. I'm not sure what to do but to talk to the courts. I'm tired of slum lords in Richmond Virginia
