My bestie lives in this complex and I absolutely loved it when I went to visit her! The staff was absolutely amazing, it was quiet, and the townhomes are a very good size. I would highly recommend this complex!

March 2026-
I'm midway through another renewal and my experiences so far here have been very positive overall. The office staff are kind and do what they can to help. They also care about your pets and check in if anything happens. My cat Bruce suddenly passed away last year and they expressed their condolences which meant a lot to me and i won't forget. They found lost property in the parking lot and proactively contacted me to see if it was mine.
I can honestly say my initial worries have gradually lessened since moving in. I really like my apartment and it's just enough for me and my cat. I can get overwhelmed easy at times, but it's helpful to have an apartment that's easy to maintain. It's also not too expensive to heat/cool.
Neighbors can make or break an otherwise good apartment and thankfully my neighbors are good, especially the side ones who I don't hear anything out of. My building is mostly quiet and I haven't seen any problems with music, parties or anything of that nature so far. Being able to chill quietly and decompress on my off-nights and sleep during the day (most of the time without a problem) is definitely something I try not to take for granted. Top neighbors can bang/thump around pretty heavily sometimes. However it's still what I'd call reasonable. I just ignore it since it's usually intermittent. I can't expect total quiet all the time in an apartment. As long as it doesn't get more frequent or worse, it's not something I think needs to be pushed. It's just one of those things with an apartment. My cat Logan thankfully isn't bothered by it and that's my real litmus test.
If I were to make one suggestion and complain about one thing here, it would be to enforce stricter towing especially since parking is often limited. Can JES make more frequent sweeps especially at night? The main problem seems to be visitors parking where they want and not displaying any pass or regular parking sticker. They arrive at night or evening and are gone just before the office opens the next morning, but still make the parking lot full when residents come back home early in the morning.
I'll highly praise the maintenance team. I usually deal with Vince and/or Buckie in my unit and both of them are very good at communicating. But the whole team (Jacob, Nick, Perry and anyone else I may be forgetting) is always prompt and get to issues quickly, even for non-emergencies. I've only had minor toilet and utility issues that were quickly fixed and didn't reoccur. They got an electrician vendor out as quickly as possible when one was needed. The office & maintenance respect my unusual schedule. I do try to accommodate them as much as possible in return, because I know those things typically have to be done during "normal" hours. They also respect my cat when he gets a little curious about visitors. He's the extrovert to my introvert.
January 2026 was extremely cold and we had more snow & ice than usual. There were several days of sustained frigid temps. Maintenance took care of the sidewalks and parking lots as best possible with the amount of ice that compacted into a thick hard layer until it finally melted completely.
The location of the property itself has really grown on me and I've come to like it. It's not in the busiest parts of town. It's within walking distance to the Riverway trail and is right across from the rec center. The closest grocery store is Food Lion and that's a quick trip if you don't want to go across the bridge to Fairlawn. It seems quiet and safe outside at night because I see people walking their dogs frequently. I know the property has had issues several years ago but I haven't seen indications those problems are still around. Sometimes deer will walk through the grass and that's a good sign.
Overall moving here was a good choice for me and I've enjoyed my time so far. I don't have anxiety about coming home. I hope it continues and I'll update in the future. Thank you!

Genuinely awesome people and a great community. Grounds keepers and maintenance are incredible people— they worked together to carve a path out for my car— and voluntarily did it when my girls and I were struggling in the snow. They’re awesome people. We baked them cookies.
