I have lived at Center West for three years now. Overall, it is a quiet community and I do feel safe living here, which I appreciate. The neighbors upstairs can be a bit loud at times due to thin flooring, but that is manageable.
The biggest issue, and the reason for this review, is the package situation. It is extremely poor and completely unacceptable for a community that presents itself as a luxury property. The package room is disorganized, unsecured, and simply not functional for the number of residents here.
I have had multiple packages go missing. One situation required me to file a police report. One I never recovered financially. Most recently, I lost a package containing three pairs of shoes that I needed for a funeral the very next day. That experience was incredibly frustrating and disappointing.
Packages are often left out in the open with no real security, and there are not enough lockers to accommodate residents. At times, I have had to drive around to different mail kiosks in the community just trying to locate a delivery, which should never be necessary.
At this point, I have started sending important packages to family members’ homes to avoid loss, which defeats the purpose of living in a place where I pay a significant amount in rent.
Management needs to address this immediately. A secure, controlled access package system is expected at this price point. Until that is fixed, this will continue to be a major drawback of living here.

I had a very disappointing experience with the leasing office staff today. I went in to request replacement mailbox keys and was assisted by Laron Woodson, who initially seemed dismissive. After paying for the keys and following up as instructed, communication became unclear and unhelpful.
When I called back for clarification, I was met with a rude and hostile tone. I was spoken over, and the conversation felt very unprofessional. At one point, I even received a follow-up call where the same aggressive tone continued.
As a resident, I expect respectful and clear communication—especially for something as simple as retrieving mailbox keys. This experience was frustrating and concerning, and I hope management takes steps to improve customer service in the leasing office.
Apartments are nice but the office staff are completely hands off. I had SO many issues upon move in. It’s like they didn’t fix anything, or even change any of the locks until I moved in. My freezer immediately wasn’t working. Mailbox key didn’t work. Even house key didn’t work. Skywire internet also wasn’t set up, I had to call. Was given no direction or instruction, just had to figure it out on my own. The package area is a joke. Had an issue with a rent payment, and Anesa didn’t even want to go on the computer and look up my account info. Absolutely ridiculous. For the amount of money being paid to live here, I should not have to deal with any of these issues.

I want to share my experience so others can make an informed decision before applying.
I applied to Center West Apartments and was initially approved as a sole applicant after a background screening. Based on that approval, I scheduled movers, utilities, and prepared to vacate my current residence.
Approximately three weeks before move-in, I notified the leasing office that my partner would also be living with me, in compliance with lease requirements. At that point, the application process was rerun and the reasons for denial began to change.
First, I was told my partner did not meet income qualifications. After clarification that I was the primary leaseholder, the explanation changed again. I was then denied based on a criminal background issue.
The adverse action report later showed the denial was based on a burglary record for a different individual with the same name in Texas. That record does not belong to me and does not match my identity or Social Security number. The screening company classified it as a “criminal non-match,” yet it was still used to deny my application.
This denial occurred five days before my scheduled move-in, with no meaningful escalation process offered. Despite being denied based on incorrect information, the property has retained my $250 administrative fee and has not responded to refund requests.
Housing decisions carry real consequences. The lack of consistency, communication, and accountability in this process caused unnecessary stress and disruption. I would strongly encourage anyone applying here to ask detailed questions about screening procedures, escalation options, and refund policies before submitting an application.
Edit ⭐️After their reply to my review!
Thank you for responding publicly. I do want to be clear for accuracy.
This was not a matter of being unhappy with a valid screening result. I was denied based on a criminal record that does not belong to me. The report referenced a burglary charge for a different individual with the same name in Texas. At the time I lived in Texas, my legal surname was different, and the record does not match my identity or Social Security number. The screening provider classified the record as a “criminal non-match.”
While I was told I could dispute the report, the dispute process was stated to take weeks, and the denial was issued five days before my scheduled move-in. No escalation, conditional approval, or temporary hold was offered despite the misidentification.
It is also worth noting that while Center West chose to respond to this review over the weekend, my direct emails requesting a refund of the $250 administrative fee — retained despite denial based on incorrect information have gone unanswered. No apology, no explanation of process failure, and no response regarding reimbursement has been provided.
I am sharing this so future applicants understand how screening errors, timing, and fee retention are handled in practice.

Saw these apartments for sale on Zillow a 3 bed 2 bath for around $2100 on zillow I used my day off to take my family here to view these apartments. They’re visually unappealing from the outside no room to run around in a yard ugly parkinglot views but we figured we could comprimise for the price. The lady who helped us was so sweet we liked the floor plan enough, nothing crazy the master bedroom didnt have a closet and the rooms seemed small with ugly views of the parkinglot and interstate. We finished our tour to be told that the unit we were looking at was 2700 without utilities included. Just seems insane we could rent a house with a huge yard in a quiet neighborhood for that price. She said the price fluctuates which is just downright annoying. This place is a ripoff and you guys wasted me and my families time. I called the apartment complex afterwards to ask is they could change that number on zillow for future residents the lady told me she would and that the prices on their actual website are the correct prices and apologized, I looked at their website afterwards and the unit we were interested in said roughly 2400 which was still cheaper than what we were told. Dont waste your time here unless you want to get scammed out of your money and time.
