  This apartment complex was built with thin walls and cheapest construction materials, basically you will not have privacy. Tenants are required to pay extra for amenities each month and the front office can’t even keep up with basics. One of the elevators has been out of service for nearly 2 month. All we received was a few emails indicating it will be fixed soon. Management is very slow.

  The wired ethernet does not work. WiFi goes out constantly. The person above me constantly bangs on their floor, my ceiling, all night long and the management does nothing about the noise. Tenets burn their food constantly and vent their apartments to the halls setting off the building fire alarms in the middle of the night every couple of months. The kitchen outlets are connected to the refrigerator so a toaster will blow the circuit if the refrigerator kicks on. The thermostat constantly tells you you are using too much auxiliary heat because you have the outside temperature too low. This place is a nightmare.

  Just signed our third lease to continue living at Makers Rise and thoroughly excited to keep our residence the same! Shaquera and team have always been incredible to work with! The building is always beautiful. Apartment living can be difficult, and in the DMV it is always tough to find a good building, with good pricing, good management, and great location. I really feel like this one succeeds in all areas! Thank you!

  I am obsessed with Makers Rise. I was fully ready to pack up and move from Texas to Virginia for work, but life had other plans. Still, my FIRST stop was Makers Rise (the pics online already had me in a chokehold), and honestly… I was sold the second I walked in. Folake, the Property Manager, and Shaquera, the Assistant, greeted me right away and were already giving all the right vibes, warm, friendly, and just super genuine. Then I met the leasing duo, Medeline and Madison, who were basically the human version of a welcome hug. Medeline took me on a tour and let me tell you… THIS PLACE DOES NOT MISS. The amenities? Insane. Like, actually everything. So many spots to chill, vibe, work, decompress, whatever mood you’re in, there’s a space for it. Then we saw the model apartment and… be serious. I wanted to move in on the spot. It’s that good. Long story short: if you’re looking for a place that not only LOOKS stunning but also FEELS like home with a staff that actually cares, RUN, don’t walk. Move here. Praying I get another chance to move to Northern Virginia because this would 100% be my new home.
