The place I lived at was disgusting. Multiple times we got bed bugs and they did nothing. Our celling collapsed twice, living room flooded , hot water heat broke, bed wasn’t fully stable, and living with black mold. The management was not helpful. Choose anywhere besides this.

I was recently fined for having a cigarette on the property, yet there is a consistent issue with others—including what appear to be staff or contractors—smoking in common areas and near stairwells without any repercussions. It's frustrating to be penalized for a policy that isn't being enforced across the board. If there’s a smoking ban, it should apply to everyone equally.
So don’t go here if you want to be charged by their own workers smoking on your property

Terrible place to live, cheap for a reason, blinds break if you breath on them wrong. Poor water conditions. flooding has occurred many times to many people. Water heaters break dishwasher hardly works and floods other apartments. Would suggest living in north or south view. Key fob rarely works for the gym. The gym is so bad compared to others, not much equipment to even get a decent workout in.

When I had moved in to the apartment it was very different than the pictures I had seen. My friend who lives right across from me got a brand new looking apartment meanwhile mine had clearly seen far better days including bugs. I got put with a random man who did not attend JMU, smoked inside constantly, stole food from us, threatened us, and was clearly mentally ill. At first the guy was chill and we all respected each other, and that's when I had signed the renewal of my lease for the 26-27 year. However, as time went on he became worse and worse, despite our best efforts to try and create peace with him he denied any change and continued his behavior. He was eventually evicted and then broke back into the place living here for around two weeks while the rest of us where on winter break. We returned to our apartment trashed and another roommate had his room broken into. Now fearing for my safety I have tried to voice my concern to management to cancel the renewal of the lease. However they caught me and either way will have to dish out extra money to try and be in a safer position. I WOULD NOT RECCOMEND TO ANYONE TO LIVE HERE. The low cost and location seem appealing but with the crap I've had to deal with, I should have lived elsewhere and not been as foolish. The maintenance team is the only good thing about this place as they generally get stuff done quickly and said they did insect extermination however I still see bugs sometimes here in February.
