  We were asked to sign a lease with the promise that at the end that it’s easy to apply for a one month extension. After weeks of trying to get this in writing we found out that’s not a thing here! Get it all in writing Before you pay the application fee! They are very slow to respond to such questions. I’ll write again if they don’t refund our fee after we were misled by several staff members

  The only reason I gave one star is that no stars is not an option. Unless this is absolutely the last place in Blacksburg, under ZERO circumstances should you rent a unit here. They used to be good, but once they got under new ownership, it went straight to hell. I've had an ongoing maintenance request to fix a laundry door for TWO YEARS. They still have not come out to fix it. They are supposed to clean out the lint ducts at least every year from your in-unit dryer. It took them 3 years since I moved into this unit to do so (That's a fire hazard). There is a mouse trapped in the lint duct of my dryer, and I informed them about it over a month ago. They told me that extermination would come out within days, but the exterminator never came, and the mouse (or at least a mouse) is still in there. They raised the price of rent, but the quality of service has gotten abysmal. They never informed the residents of the FIRE that happened at one of the units a few months ago. We found out from the local news, not from Foxridge itself. If you violate one of their policies, they send people to leave pamphlets "informing the residents of the issue," but won't actually come and FIX anything. Example: a resident here had a grill out on their patio (which isn't allowed), and Foxridge was quick to admonish them about it. But those residents had put in a maintenance request for their broken stove/oven unit, and it took Foxridge several months to address the issue. This place is a joke. Stay away.

  We visited Foxridge/Hethwood after my daughter’s interview in Blacksburg, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We worked with Nadia, who was incredibly helpful and provided every bit of information we needed. Since this will be my daughter’s first apartment, Nadia’s warmth and professionalism really put her at ease about the big move. After my daughter was offered the position, Nadia continued to be a superstar, walking her through the entire leasing process with ease. She made what could have been a stressful transition feel enjoyable and exciting. We are so grateful for Nadia's help!
