Apartment hunting in Alexandria had me a little skeptical… until I walked into Seminary Towers and realized the outside was doing this place ZERO justice. Because baby… it’s actually beautiful. Now let’s talk about the real star of the show—Yalem (Y-A-L-E-M… put some respect on it). From the moment we met, it was giving, “Hi, nice to meet you—so what are we wearing to brunch this weekend?” 😂 Like ma’am… we just met, why do I feel included already? And then she made me coffee in their fancy machine and LISTEN—as a certified Starbucks girlie, I do not say this lightly… that coffee was hitting. I was this close 🤏🏽 to asking for the recipe and canceling my Starbucks app. Just kidding!! #starbucksgirlieforlife At one point, I even gifted her a Cheeto that fell on the floor… and before I could blink, she threw it away. Not gonna lie, that might’ve shaken the foundation of our friendship a little bit 😩😂 BUT… she did let me use the clubhouse bathroom, so I guess we’re cool again. Growth. 🤭 Yalem showed me around the courtyard and the property, and it’s honestly so inviting—like you can actually picture yourself living there and minding your business peacefully. Then we toured a renovated one-bedroom and whew… it was NICE. Clean, modern, and the balcony? Spacious. Definitely a “stand outside and reflect on life” type of balcony. Now, my only hesitation—and I mean ONLY—is no in-unit washer and dryer. They do have them on every floor, but for my lifestyle (and my daily gym clothes situation 😅), I need that convenience. But I will say this—the people make the place. The leasing team, especially Yalem, made the experience feel less like a tour and more like joining a little community. Also, the other lady in the office? Immediate motherly vibes. The kind where you’re like, “Oh… she’s already decided she likes me.” I’m pretty sure I got unofficially adopted within the first 10 minutes 😂 It really gave family vibes. So yes—go check it out for yourself. Beautiful property, great energy, and just maybe… don’t offer Yalem any snacks unless they’re off the floor 😂

The property management has always been really responsive to any issues or concerns I’ve ever brought up. Sometimes I’ve had to do bit of data gathering but I don’t mind doing so if it means I am prepared to give examples so they can take care any issues and have all the information to do so! They are accommodating for scheduling conflicts when I have them and answer questions in a timely manner and with attention to detail. It’s a high rise - I see people complain about bugs but I know that if you bring it up, the property management takes care of it pretty quickly. As a former home owner, I know there are always challenges that come up, but I think for the affordability here, the service provided is well beyond what I’d expect (and what I’ve seen/heard) in comparable spaces. Nicholas and the team do a great job.

Says something about the building when every 5 star review is someone who just moved in…. Yalem is great, yes, but I remember she emailed me right after I moved in and asked me to leave a review, I said no because I haven’t yet lived here for more than a few nights and I can’t give a valid judgement yet on what it’s like to live here yet. Look at the reviews and you’ll notice that all the 5 star reviews are essentially reviewing the tour and lease-signing experience, not the living experience. Maybe they were forgetting that you’re leaving a review for the entire building, not just for Yalem. This happens to be a great way to drown out the reviews from people who have actually lived here, which seem to be overwhelmingly negative. I’ve lived here for about a year and a half now. Last year they didn’t turn the air conditioning on for the building until May 13th. This year, it’s April 15th and it’s still not on. Yet it’s on in the lobby. Super hot. I live on a low floor and the roaches are really NOT that bad. But I keep the place pretty clean and I have a cat if that makes a difference. Some of the roaches are actually mad chill. Just kidding but I only see one like every couple weeks or even less. Never seen two in the same day. Never seen a mouse. Under normal circumstances I would leave more stars but I feel the need to balance out the reviews since nearly all of them are from people who probably haven’t even spent a night here yet. Sorry Yalem and Joshua or whoever, you guys are kind, but a building with no air conditioning for these upcoming 90 degree days does not deserve 5 stars.
