My bf and I tried touring this place two weekends in a row and we were not able to get a tour at all. The first weekend we went, they said our appointment was never confirmed. Come to find out, all their emails went to our spam box. No one checks spam on a daily basis, so what management should’ve done was called to confirm. The leasing agent (wish I got her name because she didn’t do anything to help us) didn’t even offer to let us wait until a tour was done so we could tour afterwards.
The second weekend we went, we triple checked to make sure our tour was confirmed. We even talked to the leasing agent (a different person this time) and they confirmed over the phone with us that our tour was scheduled. We got there a little early, so we already expected to wait a few minutes until our actual tour time. Our tour was at 2:30. We got there at 2:20 and still hadn’t been seen by the time 2:45 came around. No acknowledgement, no nothing. The concierge was very sweet and she went to speak to the leasing agent for us (same woman from the previous weekend). We were told that it would only take her 10 more minutes with whomever she was working with. Even the concierge said that they shouldn’t have been in there that long because they were just dropping off a deposit. When I looked back into the leasing agents office, she was not in there and the couple she was “helping” were just sitting there scrolling on their phones. We waited for 10 minutes and we left.
At this point, it was quite obvious that the leasing agent just didn’t want to help us. It didn’t make it any better considering that the people we saw coming in and out of the building looked nothing like us. Hopefully her actions weren’t racially motivated. I also reached out to the manager of the property via email about this situation and I never received an email back. A simple apology from someone would be nice at this point, especially since my time and money for parking have been wasted for two weekends in a row.
If you’re looking to live in Alexandria, especially if you’re a person of color, I would not recommend this place. If you don’t have the decency to help EVERYONE that walks through your door, you don’t deserve to be in business.

I’ve tried to give this property the benefit of the doubt, but after living here for a year, there have been consistent issues that are difficult to overlook, especially given how the amenities are advertised.
The elevators are unreliable and frequently out of service. At times, only one elevator is working, and there have been instances where residents were stuck inside during breakdowns. This has been an ongoing issue rather than an occasional inconvenience.
Amenities have also been inconsistent. The pool opened briefly in late May 2025 and then closed after two days. It eventually reopened, but then closed again from July 3 to July 17, overlapping the July 4th holiday. Even when it is open, the hours of 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. are limiting for residents who work typical schedules. The fire pit has not been functional at any point since I moved in, and the gym equipment is outdated and often out of service.
There have also been accessibility concerns. I personally rely on ADA-accessible entry points, and this has been a significant and ongoing strain. The ADA elevator has only been operational for about two days during my entire time living here, which has made basic access extremely difficult. For a period, the side entrance was presented as an ADA-accessible option despite having multiple steps, which does not appear appropriate.
Security feels like an issue here, too, especially the garage. The parking garage door was broken for an extended period from March 4 through April 22, 2026. Management stated that security guards would be present during that time, but coverage seemed limited to nighttime hours, if that.
Overall, many of the advertised amenities have either been unavailable or unreliable. While occasional issues are understandable, the frequency and duration of these problems have made it difficult to feel that the property is being maintained at the level being promoted.

I’m in the military and move a lot and my experience with Lincoln Old Town was great! It is so incredibly convenient to Old Town’s restaurants, shops, and the Metro. The concierge staff is amazing, there is always a crew cleaning the shared spaces, and the property manager did not hassle me at all when I received military orders and had to terminate my lease early. In fact, I turned in the keys and they sent my final move out statement within a week (with no extraneous charges or surprises). I was very happy here!

Horrible building. No air conditioning, and no word on when it will be fixed. Unresponsive staff, and slow maintenance requests. Elevators are always breaking but they're too cheap to replace. Kettler management sucks
