  We had an absolutely AMAZING experience with Westan at Oakwood Homes! He was very easy to work with, made us feel very comfortable through the whole process, and answered every question we had along the way. Very professional and knowledgeable, made the experience a breeze. 10/10 would recommend Westan at Oakwood Homes of Barboursville.

  If I could give Oakwood Homes in Barboursville 100 stars, I would. After losing our home in a devastating fire, our family was trying to rebuild more than just a house—we were trying to rebuild our lives. Walking into Oakwood Homes, we expected to find people to help us buy a house. Instead, we found family. Sydney has been nothing short of amazing. From the very beginning, she treated us with so much compassion, patience, and love. She never made us feel like another sale. She celebrated every milestone with us, answered every question, and somehow made one of the most painful seasons of our lives feel a little less overwhelming. What touches my heart the most is that she still keeps the little rock my four-year-old daughter gave her sitting on her desk. That may seem like a small thing to some people, but to a mama whose children had just lost everything they knew, it meant the world. Sydney didn’t just invest in helping us find a home—she invested in our family. She laughed with our kids, made them feel safe, and loved them as if they mattered, because to her, they did. I also have to recognize Emmet in the service department. Even though his role wasn’t selling us a home, he consistently went above and beyond to help us. Every interaction reminded us that the people at Oakwood genuinely care. He was kind, dependable, and always willing to do whatever he could to make this process easier for our family. And then there’s Travis. He has been incredibly helpful every step of the way. Anytime we had questions or concerns, he took the time to explain everything and made sure we felt confident moving forward. His professionalism and willingness to help never went unnoticed. People always say, “It’s just business.” Oakwood Homes proved that’s not true. They showed us that business can be personal. It can be compassionate. It can be filled with people who genuinely care. When our world fell apart after the fire, God placed the right people in our path. Oakwood Homes didn’t just help us build a house—they helped us rebuild hope. They became part of our story, and they will forever hold a special place in our hearts. To Sydney, Emmet, Travis, and the entire Oakwood Homes family: thank you for loving our family so well during one of the hardest chapters of our lives. We will never forget your kindness, your patience, or the way you made us feel seen when we needed it most. You didn’t just help us find a home. You helped us find home again.

  Ask for Sydney Ellis, she was amazing through our whole process. Sydney took care of everything, answered every question we had. Orientation guy, Emmitt Eldridge was great. He checked everything, made sure there was no damage after delivery and if there was he took care of it immediately. Definitely recommend Oakwood homes!

  The whole experience with Oakwood has been great. Our sales person was westan and he was awesome to work with and made you feel like family. We had a few hiccups during our process but westan got it lined out good. The setup crew got our home set in no time. A few issues come up after the home was set but Emmitt was able to make our home show room ready again! Great experience would definitely recommend this Oakwood!! Cannot commend Emmitt enough on his work on getting our home squared away!
