STEER CLEAR! AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST!
The Element 84 is marketed as upscale “luxury” living in the heart of West Allis, but it is the furthest thing from. We leased a unit from Element 84 over the last 2 years and finally can say as of 5/31 that we are no longer residents.
The management at this place is an absolute joke and not value you as a resident. At the Element 84, you are a customer and just another dollar sign.
Issues we dealt with during our time here:
* August 2025 - AKA “The Great Flood”. The building was COMPLETELY overtaken by water. Both mine and my girlfriend’s car were total losses as they were parked in the underground parking garage. On top of losing our vehicles, we were forced out the apartment for 5 weeks while they worked to restore power to the building. During this time we were forced to find other living arrangements and rent a vehicle. The apartment did offer to house tenants at one of roach-infested hotels down by the airport, but these accommodations would not be suitable for us and our dog for over a month. Upon returning to the building we did not have fully operational elevators in the building until December 2025 (I will thank them for losing 10 lbs from the ole waterline as we were forced to use the stairs to get up to our 3rd floors apartment). So, what did Element 84 do to credit us for this major inconvenience and thousands of dollars spent on new vehicles, housing, food replacement, and time spent moving out of the apartment? The offered us our money back for the time the building was uninhabitable and one free month if we agreed to resign our lease for another year… 😂 I know, insane, right?
* April 2026 - Record Rain - the thunderstorms that came through ripped metal siding from the building and punctured the roof above our unit. This cause water to come pouring in and forced us to call emergency services to our unit at midnight in the midst of the storm. After hours of buckets filling and the walls caving in, the repair man finally crawled out of bed and showed up to help. After reviewing the damage upstairs the repair man essentially told us good luck and have a good weekend. Thankfully the rain let up otherwise we would have had newly acquired swimming pool in our kitchen and living room. You might be thinking, management had to take care of you guys and ensure the fix was made. NOPE. Management never reached out to schedule repairs to the molding drywall in our unit or ensure it would not be a problem again
* Constant nickle and diming - every month we have lived here we have continued to incur elevated water, sewer, and various management fees. We averaged over $100+ a month just in water, trash and sewer fees. For a period of time, the building had elevated water usage and couldn’t conclude what was the root cause, so the months they spent investigating tenants were on the hook for bill.
* Faulty construction - if the above bulleits didn’t give enough detail, let me explain more. We had our dishwasher replaced literally 4 times in 2 years. Each replacement was an even shittier model than the one before. When the repair man came to fix the roof leak from April, he actually made a comment that at least he wasn’t replacing the dishwasher again LOL
* Busted Doors - half the doors at this place don’t work properly. The electric key pad is cheap and probably was ordered off Temu. Imagine it’s January-cold outside and you are forced to completely walk around the building all because this place refuses to use actual keys and relies on shitty key fobs that don’t work half the time
* Unwanted Guest - there was literally a homeless man living in the building at one point a couple months ago. Management couldn’t figure out how to keep him out the building and warned the guest of his presence. Guess we can blame this on the Temu door locks from above
It was a terrible living experience and would not recommend to my worst enemy… (MAYBE). Please avoid!!
I hope this review helps someone make a good decision and RUN don’t walk from this place!!!

It’s honestly way over priced and just not worth the hassle. This place has done nothing but go downhill in the last year and a half. The management company is terrible.
Remember that whole flood thing? Over a month to get the power back on. And I think it was like 5 months to get an elevator back online, 6 for both. Oddly enough no one showed any sense of urgency until they ended up on the news. I believe they said they were looking into some sort of reimbursement… lol nope. I wanted to move out, I live on the 4th floor, and asked them what I’m supposed to do without elevators? “Use the stairs.”
You don’t even have to come in… just walk around the property. They take care of the landscaping as well as anything else. All those tubes in the grass? Yeah 2 years ago they were buried. They are supposed to be buried. Snow removal? Well… they do get around to it eventually.
The apartments… overpriced and cheaply finished. And the loudest HVAC I have ever heard. Ever.

Would not recommend renting with Element 84!
The entire management and building have being going downhill.
It was nice a few years ago in 2023 when I move in but not anymore.
Everything began when my rent surprisingly increased from $1450 to 1600, months passed by until I request a unit transfer then I found out that Vicky added an underground parking pass, Like how?? I never asked for it and they never assigned a spot or even give me the garage opener. So the new staff Allysa, was apologetic and said that they will reimburse me the total of 6 months of paid underground parking (without my consent) WELL, that never happened.
Also spent months reaching out to maintenance about a leaking coming from roof , they never came to fix out, only until I moved out, that I went to the apartment to make sure I wasn’t leaving anything behind then I found out that the fix the leaking, HOW CONVENIENT now that they have new tenants in hahah.
And the list goes on and on…
They are so expensive now, $1,700 for a 1br is crazy for a bedroom with no privacy door and no walking closet.
It’s not worth the hassle and way OVERPRICED
