As far as apartment living goes, this is probably the best it can get. I'll start with some of the cons. These are all very nitpicky, and it's everything negative I could think about:
The location is pretty close to the Waukesha Gun Club, and I constantly hear shots from far-away. Maybe it's them or someone else, but it's not disturbing or that big of a deal. With most complexes, the walls are very thin and there's very little noise suppression. You will hear your upstairs neighbors walking around or kids running down the hall. Thankfully, the other residents seem to be mindful of it and keep it to a minimum, and it's good during silent hours, at least in my building. This complex uses some pesticides that are extremely strong, and there's a really strong odor in the stairwells and the entrance of the clubhouse. It's very hard to get through the stairwells, it's almost suffocating. Thankfully you can't smell it in the hallways or in your apartment. The package situation could be done better. Packages are sent to the mail room, but it's been disorganized for a while now. You would have to dig through other people's packages to find your own, and I'm pretty sure I've seen packages sit there for months now. There's no cell service in the underground parking garage or elevators. I've also had small issues with internet service. Alta has a deal with Spectrum, and every apartment has a modem pre-installed. I chose to go with AT&T after using Spectrum for a while, but I've had problems with AT&T. The way the wiring and internet is done by Spectrum at the complex made it hard for the AT&T technician to properly set everything up, so you might have to be stuck with Spectrum if you want the best results.
The best part about Alta is the leasing office, and that's why I'm giving it 5 stars. Angie and Kyahna are very sweet and take the time to get to know the residents. They are responsive, work hard, and go the extra mile to help their residents. They keep everyone updated through their email list and are very transparent with what's going on. Maintenance requests are done promptly, with no issue. Scott gets the work done fast and offered to do work I didn't think would be covered by maintenance. The complex itself is very clean and nice looking. It has good construction, as my unit was clean and built well at move-in. The windows and sliding glass door are high-quality and insulate well. I really appreciate the thermostat that insulates the entire unit, and so far I haven't had issues with AC. The appliances are beautiful looking and work very well. They're not cheap stuff, and especially the in-unit washer and dryer are easy to use and work well. The trash valet service is included with utilities, and it's actually so helpful. The workers are very consistent in the time they come, and I've had little issue with them. The complex has upgraded or provided new features in apartments a few times now. I haven't seen a single insect since moving in, so their pest control seems to be done well. There's plenty of amenities, but I can't speak on them since I haven't really used them.
The rent is pretty steep here. But I kind of understand it, as it really comes with a lot of features and you get your money's worth. Again, this is probably the best option for apartment living. Fantastic staff, beautiful buildings, and a great living experience. I'm very happy I chose to stay here.
Kyahna and Angie are both wonderful! I’ve had a few challenges getting the internet set up in my unit, and they have both gone above and beyond to help in any way they can. They’re incredibly responsive, kind, and genuinely care about their residents. It’s clear that they want everyone to feel comfortable here and make sure that your apartment truly feels like "home".
I noticed that some previous reviews mentioned concerns about noise, but in my experience, that really hasn’t been an issue. I occasionally hear a thud or two, but honestly, I think it’s only noticeable because the apartment complex—and the surrounding area in general—is so quiet. I’ve been very impressed with how calm and comfortable the community is.
Overall, beautiful property, great community, and an exceptional management team—10/10!

PROS: Angie & Kyahna are great - super attentive, patience, knowledgeable, and fun! The property and units are beautiful. Easy access to the freeway. In a commercial/industrial area, but the area is surprisingly quiet (a plus). Of the few of us that live there so far (new property) tenants appear to be nice.
CONS: As another reviewer mentioned, the sound insulation is nonexistent. I moved in 2 weeks ago and unfortunately the occupant(s) underneath me walk like they have bricks for feet and dont seem to grasp that others live above and beneath them. From the time they return home (~5pm) to sometimes 1AM! all i hear is them walking and RUNNING throughout their unit. I know apartment living is give and take, but they legitimately are already making me regret signing a lease :(
The other thing is that there are no storage spaces on the property.
Wish there was more than one outlet in the bathroom.
I’ve only been here 3 weeks and have had 8 misdelivered packages. I actively have 2 packages that say they are delivered but no one can locate them. 1 with USPS and 1 with FedEx. I currently have 3 packages that have been sent back or delayed due to issues delivering. My dog’s food has been sent back to sender twice and a gift for my friends baby shower was just sent back. I have filed complaints with USPS, FedEx, and Ontrac, I have gone to businesses near by to see if they have my packages, and I have verified with every carrier that my address I’m using is correct. I spend about 3-5 hours everyday trying to locate these items. My dog is on a special diet and it’s hard to find his food in store. I understand that the apartment has no control over this, but wanted to warn others of the major issues that you have to deal with here.
Another thing I’d like to point out is that the walls are extremely thin. The neighbor below us watches TV from 5:30-11pm every single day with no breaks and we can hear every single word being said on his TV.
There are no coat closets, which we didn’t notice until we moved in. Huge bummer there.
The leasing office ladies are amazing and so sweet and the only reason they didn’t get a 1 star.
Hopefully things will get better, but it’s completely exhausting dealing with these issues on a daily basis. Especially since everything is automated so it takes forever to get through to a real person for the carries. And some places don’t have phone services like OnTrac
