  As of July 2025 and later March 2026, the Barrington apartments has had an active roach and later bedbug infestation, respectively. I had to throw away all that I own with zero compensation. They still have not treated the infestation seriously. The exterminators informed me that I had a neighbor move in next door to me that brought the bedbugs. Another later explained how “at this point everyone has roaches”. I moved into the building July 2022, & outside of noisy neighbors and thin walls (you get what you pay for), I had no complaints until the occurrence of roaches & later bed bugs. Hopefully the 98.27% of my security deposit they kept goes toward pest control. Given the condition of the building, that seems like the best use for it.

  Hi! I'll bet if you are looking into the Wellston Apts site you are either curious about what is out there or you are looking for an apt. home upgrade! Either way, you are at the right place to inform yourself or find your apt. home, in-waiting for You! Lake Summit is a convenient, quiet, pet-friendly, place to check out the sound-proofed, concrete structure apts. with spacious urban apt. layouts that are flexible, quiet, and many have lake views--one and two bedroom (two bath) alike. I can testify to it soundly--lived conveniently here for 'many years'. And always appreciate the prompt maintenance done with care, the cleanliness of this pet-friendly bldg. There are many units with friendly tenants and bldg. HVAC mechanical ventilation. (No cooking odors of your neighbor.) Did I say social? Nestled in a tree-lined neighborhood, steps away from the Oriental, Hooligan's, Bradford Beach and the Oak Leaf Trail! Rooftop amenity that is super comfie and fun w friends during city-wide summer events. A courtyard amenity with gas grilles and tables/chairs for socializing within the curated, landscaped courtyard. Off street parking in a camera-monitored lot or in the basement garage. Dumpsters in the basement, kept orderly and no need to step outside in wintry months or ever! Check it out. Either for comparison info or as your new apt. home. (Let me enjoy your cat, too.) Cheers!

  We had a wonderful experience with Wellston Apartments (Lake Summit-East Side). Management is professional and courteous, on-site staff is friendly and prompt. Maintenance requests could be requested online and were handled immediately. LOVED the amazing communication through texts. Laundry on two floors and just installed brand new app friendly machines - no more searching for quarters! Underground parking is heated and there's ample space for bike storage. We were only able to secure one parking spot so the other car was on the street. But there is plenty of neighborhood parking and never had to go far. Always felt safe walking at night. Building security felt very safe and neighbors are friendly, too! Took advantage of the amazing rooftop deck and courtyard grill on numerous occasions - both were clean and well maintained, even has seasonal planters to make it feel like a special space. Excellent location - walk to shopping, nightlife, restaurants, public trans, everything!

  Do NOT contact this company whatsoever. Dont speak with Jennifer or Amy. They lied and said an apartment was available. We applied for the apartment, got approved then said it wasn't available. They were unprofessional and hung up on me multiple times and refuse to reimburse the application fees. That's stealing innocent people money.

  Their business practices are outdated and the company has 0 regard for the well being of it's tenants. They are there to take your money and to stick every possible additional dollar to your name with no consideration to your situation or needs. There are far more apartment rental agencies that practice much better business. If you're choosing something other than Wellston, you're already a step up. We were not the first to be horribly dissatisfied, and we will not be the last. Avoid at all cost
