I would not recommend moving here. The apartment units themselves show well, but as a resident there have been several things which I have found quite unpleasant.
First and foremost, the HVAC fan is far too loud. I measured 70 dB in all areas of my 1br unit which made it difficult to sleep, especially when it would switch on automatically. I got used to it, but it was still unpleasant. I asked the maintenance staff to listen to it and they said all the units are like that.
Secondly, I haven't felt comfortable having guests over because the confusing hallway system makes it difficult to find one's way in and out without help. Coupled with the dimly lit and gray hallways, it is like living inside a dark maze. Some elevators go to floors 1-4, others go to floors 2-6, and the hallways form an H shape so there are many dead ends. Additionally, all guests need to fill out a form online for parking, and find guest parking outside or navigate the parking structure, both of which are a long walk away from my unit.
The parking structure is also a source of anxiety, especially for me since I have a larger vehicle. The structure is dimly lit and contains small parking spaces, narrow driveways, and obstacles such as pipes which you have to watch out for.
A dog peed in the elevator I use to go up to my apartment, and I have filed multiple maintenance requests to fix the smell, but it is persistent, and the air in there is always dank and nauseating.
My unit has a very uneven floor where my desk has to go, about four feet spanning across the entire wall is tilted slightly, so I can't sit down without my chair rolling away from the desk. The maintenance staff told me that this is because the complex was built in phases, and my unit exists on the "seam" between the different portions that were built, so there's nothing that can be done.
I got a lease renewal offer after my 11 months of living here. My rent was raised from $1,550 for 11 months to $1,675 for 15 months. Their algorithm is strange: it will assign rents with swings of hundreds of dollars per month depending on what day of the month you choose to move in.
Overall, I think my experience of living here really failed to meet my expectations. There were many unexpected disappointments, and things which I thought wouldn't be such a big deal ended up sucking worse than I anticipated.
