  My two biggest complaints about this place… parking and the ac in the gym. Let’s start with the gym- the ac has been broken for at least six months (I was told by staff it actually never worked properly after a remodel two years ago and they are fully aware of the issues when the work was done- but never thought to fix it.). It is consistently in the high 70s and into the mid 80s at times I t he gym. It’s unsafe and more like a sauna than a safe place to workout. After SEVERAL complaints with no response- I finally got a text from maintenance saying it was being addressed by the HVAC company. That was two months ago. Again- staff said it’s a known issue and even upper management JOKED they should just leave it as more people will lose weight if they sweat more. Uh… NOT FUNNY OR SAFE. So they know of the issue and don’t see any reason to fix it and so the space goes unused most of the time and yet- we pay for the amenity. Now… parking. So, like many greedy places in Tacoma, The Meadows charges residents for an assigned parking spot. Except they don’t have adequate open parking to allow for those who live here and guests- so you are either forced to pay for the increase or run the risk of not finding parking. Many folks just park in the red- which I get- despite the fact we get a monthly reminder it’s not allowed and cars will be towed (two years living here and I’ve never seen a car towed). There are cars that SIT and don’t move for months on hand- and empty covered parking, but still cars parked in red zones. If you don’t have enough parking for the number of residents- then you have an issue. When I asked what I was suppose to do when I couldn’t find legal parking at all int eh complex one night- I was told the guessed I could park across the street and hope nothing happened to my car. Really appreciate the care they take towards their residents… they never respond to emails (even with their BS AI bot email) or actually enforce lease rules (no smoking complex yet there are several residents who smoke openly daily!). Management is a joke and only cares about collecting your rent check monthly.

  Wendell and Joe are amazing mechanics they work with a smile and don’t hesitate to help at whatever is needed . Needed help getting my sisters car jumped and they helped me find cables and sat with me until it started !
