  Park Rose Care Center is a hidden gem for sure. They ask you at the hospital which facility care center would you like your loved one to go to for follow up care. You look at a paper they give you and see 5 with ratings and I have been to most of them with my mom needing care for falls or her new diagnosis of Alzheimer's. I went for a tour with Admissions Heidi and I was pleasantly surprised how helpful and knowledgeable she was in letting me know what would be happening with my mom's care. Activity team were amazing as well with the caregivers. The staff at Park Rose Care Center demonstrated remarkable kindness and professionalism in their treatment and care of my loved one. What made me pick this place was the way they talked to the residents and seeing how happy there were. They offered a team of PT/ OT for my mom's care which is on site, which was a win. The welcoming from the hospital to the center came at the right time for my mom. Kind people and clean, offering Activities daily which my mom needed at the time. This center should have been way up on the Paper not at the bottom for ratings. I'm happy to say I give them a full review of praise and passion for the things they do for our elderly. As mom got better with OT/ PT she needed more for her care since her Alzheimer's was Factor. They helped with placement for her to a Beautiful memory care unit where she is thriving. Rosemond Family

  If you’re looking for a skilled nursing facility in the Tacoma area where your loved one will receive solid care and attention, Park Rose Care Center is definitely worth considering. The level of care stands out to me. The nursing staff are attentive, knowledgeable, and take the time to make sure residents are comfortable and well cared for. You can tell they’re experienced and take their roles seriously. The facility is clean, well-maintained, and has a calm, supportive atmosphere. It feels structured but still personal, which is important in a skilled nursing setting.

  I have to give this establishment five sparkling stars because my month-lonh stay with them was absolutely like being at home. All the nurses, Janet, Ruth, Davina, Beatrice, Idena, and the CNAs were all so kind, thoughtful and helpful. They always greeted me with a warm smile and never acted as if I was a nuisance. I've told my family that when I get too old for them just take me to Park Rose.

  I had to leave that place and find something better. I did. Rainier Rehab is far superior.

  While flying from her home near Richmond, VA to visit her grandson in Tacoma, my mother-in-law experienced a medical crisis that landed her in the ICU in a Tacoma hospital. She was placed on a ventilator and a feeding tube to sustain her as she recovered from sepsis, and wasn't expected to be able to breathe independently. After defying the odds, and eventually recovering to the point she no longer required the support of the ventilator, but nowhere near stable enough to be medically cleared for a flight or ground transportation back to Richmond, on 3/6, she transitioned to Park Rose for respiratory rehab. Needless to say, this entire ordeal was difficult for her, but also difficult on her family, feeling helpless on the other side of the country. Although there were a few bumps along the way, which were magnified by the COVID-19 pandemic, I’m pleased to say she was discharged yesterday (6/19), and will need continued therapy and support at home, but she no longer has the tracheostomy or the feeding tube, and will be returning to Richmond tomorrow via a standard commercial flight! We feel blessed beyond words, and are so very appreciative of the caring, compassionate team at Park Rose. I know I’ll miss some of the many angels that contributed to her successful rehab, but thanks so much to the Administrator Teresa, Social Worker Lori, Nurse Manager's Donna & Ken, Virginia, Ashley, & Theresa in Activities, the Rehab Director Lori, SLP Lori, PT Richard, Quilyam and Taylor, OT Ashley, Nurses Ismaheal, Elvis, & Fatima, all the many CNAs, and everyone else that contributed to her successful rehab and ability to return home!. You’re truly heroes to our family. Despite the facility being at the epicenter of the start of COVID-19 in the US, she remained COVID-19 free, as did every other guest in the facility! Spectacular! All this to say I’d absolutely recommend Park Rose to anyone needing rehab, particularly respiratory rehab, in the state of Washington!
