I have been living here for 1 year and a half and just recently signed another year contract, and I just want to say that the recent management switch is horrible!! And the apartments are overpriced for what they are worth!
I would like to premise that due to personal challenges, I was stuck signing another 1 year contract with the apartment, I would’ve totally left and left a review after, but with the emotional stress that this apartment has put me through, I think it is only right that I do so,
As to most of the reviews on here are 5 stars (probably fake) since when I started living here, they were offering $500 for people to leave a review, but most of the reviews are true as it is a beautiful apartment and gated (the gate is usually broken) for the Spokane downtown area. I myself felt safe in my apartment, and I love the amenities and inviting people over to check out the place.
I’d probably say that’s the only best part of the apartment as they are small but cozy. Probably too small if you have pets and kids, also the walls are paper thin as you can hear your neighbors snore, dogs barking, people playing TV, and cabinets banging due to the apartment layout.
When I first moved into my apartment, I had put in a maintenance request about my AC working, but the handful of times I had them come over they told me that either wait for a moment, flip the breaker and wait for the AC to reset, drain the fluids out. So I just dealt with my apartment being hot for a year and a half until this year April when I requested another repair for the Ac and they told me that the condenser was broken and had fully drained out. Which is now fixed After a year and a half, multiple maintenance check ups.
As someone who works night shift, they also do a lot of maintenance and give you a notice to do so, which is inconvenient, as I have to make time to make sure I attend to when they come in, as the locks are just with fobs so they can just come into the apartment, as to one time, they walked in on me while I was sleeping. If you have maintenance, they do ask if they can come into your apartment. So do keep this in mind if you do not want anybody walking into your apartment.
This apartment management loves to hand out eviction notices. When they first were swapping over, I received a notice on the first day of the month and was charged a late fee. Per contract they do not charge you till “before the 6th day” so my friend was on vacation during that month when this happened, which they were unaware of the notice has to pay an extra $150 late fee and they only give out 14 day eviction notices, rather than a 30 days. Which a lot of people in the apartment was either evicted or left due to this. The apartment is super sneaky with their contracts, so I would be careful of reading through it. But for some reason this particular case they were able to just breach contract due to “new management”?
Since I renewed my contract for another year, for the past two months-almost 3 I have been getting charged a parking fee which I do not own anymore and a different tenant has been using that parking space as well now, I had also asked one of the office employee and they see that I do not own a parking space, have an email stating that I had removed that parking space off my lease. But somehow they are still charging me $115 for the parking space. I have confronted them about this issue for the last two months, going down to the office, phone call, and emails, but I kept getting redirected that they will contact “management” or someone else, which I use to not have to deal with this with the previous manager.
To add to their unprofessionalism, I had dropped off a check for my June (2026) rent and somehow they lost that check, which I was charge for a late fee due to their incompetence of not keeping rent organized.
I am so tired of this apartment, if you don’t have the time to deal with all the nonsense and care about your money, avoid this apartment at all cost!!!
