We live next door to Lavender Meadows and have really enjoyed watching this beautiful community come together. We often ride our bikes or take walks through the neighborhood, and it's always a pleasure. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and so well maintained.
The amenities are fantastic—pickleball courts, a dog park, bocce ball, and a lovely clubhouse that gives residents a great place to gather. Everyone we've met has been incredibly friendly and welcoming, which really adds to the sense of community.
Even though we don't live there, we can honestly say Lavender Meadows is a wonderful addition to Sequim. It's a beautiful neighborhood with a warm, inviting atmosphere.

It is foolish to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars for a new home that is on someone else's property. In spite of a stylish name suggesting an upscale community, it is at heart just another mobile home park, with a hefty never-ending monthly charge to cover your lease of the land, as well as taxes, the property owners' profit, maintenance, the clubhouse, on-site management and other expenses. And you guessed it, the monthly charge is increased regularly by the same inflation that drives up the cost of everything. Yes, you save money going in by not having to pay for the land and its development costs, but you'll lose that much, and often more, when you sell. Added to that is the fact that homes in manufactured home parks DO NOT appreciate in value like homes on your own land or stick built houses. Don't forget that the overwhelming majority of banks and mortgage companies won't give you a loan for any home that is on someone else's turf, and that applies here. There are a very few who do make such loans, but they charge a higher interest rate that adds a big chunk to the overall cost of the home. Rules? If you like plenty of homeowner and community rules, you'll find them here. Read the long fine-print list of things you aren't allowed to do. Look, this and other managed and land-lease communities are first and foremost run for the forever profit of the business folks who operate them and own the land under every house. Residency appeals mostly to emotionally insecure and financially careless people who want everything taken care by a parental management. Rest assured that if you buy here they they WILL take care of you--and your money. And you won't have to worry about one itty-bitty thing.
