128 on State is situated in the most convenient part of Kirkland. We have lived here for eight years and enjoy the proximity to trails where we walked and rode horses for decades while the downtown is only a block away. Restaurants, groceries and a fine library are all within walking distance.
The homes are quiet, originally build as a condominium, so it’s well appointed. The management and maintenance are prompt & concerned about our quality of life. The building and parking are secure. We have enjoyed it here! CM

We toured several apartments when we first moved to the state, and this was the one that stood out the most. The location is amazing—close to downtown, with great restaurants/coffee shops, grocery stores, and parks (waterfront, Peter Kirk, Google trail, etc.) all within walking distance. It’s made everyday life here incredibly convenient.
More than anything, this place has truly felt like home after moving here from out of state. The staff are always kind, welcoming, and attentive. Veruschka and Connie have both been especially helpful, and maintenance has been excellent as well. Requests are usually handled within a day, or no later than two, and Kevin and Marco do a fantastic job.
The community is friendly, the events are a nice touch, and the amenities are always clean and well maintained. I especially love the courtyard BBQ area, the fitness room, and the separate dog wash room.
We’ve enjoyed living here so much that renewing our lease was an easy decision.

I’ve really enjoyed living here at 128 on State. The building is always clean, the location is perfect for walking to the lake and downtown, and it just feels easy to live here.
Veruschka has been awesome to work with. She’s super friendly and very helpful whenever something comes up. Kevin is great too, any maintenance request I’ve put in has been handled quickly and done right. Highly recommend this building!
128 on State has been a great place to live. The building is modern and the location in downtown Kirkland is super convenient as it’s close restaurants, and coffee shops. The property manager, Veruschka is great! She’s responsive, and easy to work with any time I’ve had a question or needed help with something. She remembers residents by name and makes the place feel more like home.
I’ve had good experiences with Kevin from maintenance, who is always quick to respond and very friendly.
I’d definitely recommend 128 on State to anyone looking for a nice place in Kirkland.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but after living here for a year and a half, I genuinely feel obligated to share my experience so future residents know what they’re signing up for.
Throughout my time as a resident, the management and office staff were consistently unhelpful and unresponsive. Communication was vague at best and nonexistent at worst. Emails often went unanswered, and when responses did come, they lacked clarity and follow-through. It often felt like residents were an inconvenience rather than valued tenants.
During my lease, there was a complete staff change. I was genuinely hopeful that this would bring improvement — better organization, better communication, and a fresh start. Unfortunately, nothing changed. If anything, communication and overall responsiveness seemed to decline even further. The same issues persisted despite the transition.
The pricing is absolutely not reflective of the quality of service provided. You are required to use their internet provider — you cannot have your own WiFi — and the utilities are significantly overpriced. For what you’re paying, you would expect efficiency and professionalism, but that was not my experience.
Operationally, the building is frustrating. The elevators are frequently down, and the parking garage is regularly malfunctioning, which creates inconvenience and honestly feels unsafe. These were not isolated incidents — they were recurring problems throughout my time there.
The move-out process was especially disappointing. There was little to no clarity around final charges, my deposit, or what to expect financially. I was initially told I would be receiving part of my deposit back, only to later be asked for additional money after being told my account was paid in full. The back-and-forth was exhausting and unnecessary, and it reflected a serious lack of organization and transparency.
The only bright spot in this entire experience was the maintenance team. They were consistently kind, professional, and incredibly timely. Every request I submitted was handled quickly and thoroughly. They deserve recognition for being the only reliable part of the operation.
Overall, this building charges premium prices without delivering premium service. After a year and a half of hoping things would improve, I can confidently say I would not recommend living here
