I am currently a resident at Regency Coupeville..I have transferred from another facility about 10 days ago..I thank God for Regency..This is Heaven compared to the hell I just came from..Every staff member has been very attentive to my every need..After completing my care they make sure I am comfortable and do not need anything else..I am bed ridden and incontenate and I require a lot of assistance..I have never been rushed..the food is simple but very good and plentiful.. served with a smile..I have not detected odors in the hallways...as far as PT goes they do what you are capable of and increase it as you progress, they are very consciencious with their actions..as far as the night nurse is concerned. I had her for a year in another facility and the past 10 days here..She is an excellent nurse in charge of the medications..she has a very hard and fast paced job..I have always received my meds on time..they are delivered with a smile and concern for my comfort..and I have had her drop by between med times to make sure I am ok..I have never seen any evidence of elder abuse towards myself or my roommate..I can hear her in the hallway and what I hear is conversation and gentle chuckles..once in awhile she has to encourage a patient to take medication that they need and because of dementia she has to be firm..but it is always done with concern for that patient..the accusations of elder abuse is very serious..you need to think about that before it is used again..I cannot express how grateful I am to be here at Regency Coupeville..Thank you all for making me feel at home..God bless each and everyone here at Regency Coupeville

I have never left an online review because I never felt the need to do so - now I do. I was tossed into this facility for rehab on a broken back. Their physical therapists are great, but they can't call themselves a rehab facility if all they offer is 20 minutes a day.Their nursing staff is also great (for the most part). Unfortunately, I witnessed far too much elder abuse there - mostly by a weekend night nurse. I agree with others - don't put your cognizant loved ones there. Here is, and always will be, the problem - rehab needs to be separated from skilled nursing care. If someone is trying to heal, the last thing they need to be constantly subjected to are people that have "lost it". I hate to say that because it's most of our futures and my heart went out to them, but I was warned over and over again that if I tried any kind of intervention that it would cause them "a ton of paperwork'. Well, perhaps they need to experience that ton...

This place is awful. Please, don’t send your loved ones here. Call lights all day long, no one answers. Wet pants for hours. There are a few good staff members but they’re all so unsupported, the good ones won’t last long. A money making scheme for whoever is at the top. And it’s frankly disgusting.

the halls smell stale, so do the rooms. and it looks uncared for making me wonder if they care about the residents the same way they care for the wood work, floors and garden bed.
My dad is staying here for rehab. Not to impressed. His sheets haven't been changed even through he spilt coffee on them as well as other soiled areas, and has been there a week. Only one day did his bed get made. Trays are brought to room they did not offer him another option. The food taste was good, vegetables were not overcooked and serving size was appropriate. However he was only given milk at breakfast; even though he was told it would be given every meal. The food and coffee were serverd luke warm and I did not hear any aides ask if he needed anything else before leaving the room. They had a nice patio area, but the few chairs available were tattered and torn (one so bad I moved it to a area it could not be used) and there were no tables making it look bare and uncared for. Activities does not seem to have much to offer either about three activities a day. I would visit very often if you have a loved one stuck in this facility.
