The application process at Sofi at Somerset has been frustrating and poorly coordinated. Pete told me we “just need a background check,” while Julie later said income verification was still outstanding and told me, “I thought Pete communicated that to you.” Both my guarantor and I received “application approved” emails, only to be told by the leasing team that these were system mistakes. Nobody has clearly explained our actual application status. I explained upfront that my financial situation would likely require manual review. Nevertheless, I’ve repeatedly been told they cannot begin until a 72-hour Nova Credit waiting period ends, without a clear explanation of when that period ends or exactly which documents will be accepted afterward. My return calls have also gone unanswered after the team left me a voicemail asking me to call. I understand that screening requirements must be met. What’s unacceptable is receiving contradictory instructions and approval notices while being unable to get a clear answer about what remains outstanding. With a move-out deadline approaching, this has made planning unnecessarily difficult. I’m asking property management to assign one person to review the application, confirm its status, and provide a complete document list and a firm timeline.

Beware of wasting your time on the self guided tour. Horrible leading office personnel. Business card they gave me to call with questions had a disconnected phone number on it. The male PM was RUDE. NOT Bellevue standards.

I found Sofi at Somerset to be an attractive and comfortable place to live. The complex‘s wonderful landscaping; and the gym, pool, hot tub and social deck, really added relaxation to our lives. The area schools (Tiffany Park and Newport High) were really important to us, and SOFI just made that better. I also want to mention the property management staff. Over the seven years of our residence, all of the staff have always been helpful and friendly, but Pete and Julie are tops! All said, Sofi is a great place to live and I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for an apartment home in Factoria, Bellevue or Newport.
