  I've been visiting a co-worker who lives at Governor's on North Henry since 2024. I love the warm feel of the community, the modern amenities, and the office staff is absolutely amazing! I will be relocating from NY in fall of 2026 and will be leasing an apartment here! The location can't be beat and the property is absolutely beautiful. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

  I do not recommend this complex to anyone looking to move to Williamsburg. When I first moved in, I was provided so much misinformation by their leasing agents — I was charged a double security deposit because they did not analyse my information correctly, and I was told my rent would barely go up, if at all, when I renewed my lease. All of that ended up not being true and they refused to take any responsibility saying the person doesn’t work for them anymore. Ever since I have moved in it is so incredibly difficult to ever have any sort of communication with them, they do not reply to their emails and NEVER pick up the phone ever. It is so frustrating and there is no way to reach them unless you physically manage to go to their office and ask questions which should be answered over call or phone. They increased my rent significantly once I renewed my lease and am not getting any added benefits. Half the apartments in this complex are unoccupied yet they refuse to lower prices. Absolutely do not recommend living here! If you can find another place, please do so.

  My wife and I have lived at Governors for 10 months now in a brand new apartment home. We find it a wonderful place to live and a special place for people of all ages. The buildings and grounds are well maintained and the landscaping is simply beautiful, with colorful trees and plants everywhere. The pool area, gym and other common rooms as well as the large dog park are remarkable. In addition, the office staff are very professional, responsive and welcoming whenever you see them. William, the maintenance manager, is a true asset to the apartment community. As seniors, my wife and I requested safety bars be installed in the shower/tub and he took care of it. We particularly enjoy the ability to walk into our apartment home directly from the parking lot without climbing any stairs! Listening to the trains rolling by is quite enjoyable to us, as we sit on our patio. Finally, to be within a short walk of Merchants Square, the Colonial Williamsburg area and the campus of William and Mary is what makes my wife and I love living at Governors, with the hope to be able to live here for many years to come.

  I had a great conversation with a young man working today as the office personnel. He was very helpful in explaining their availability for apartments. He thoroughly explained the availability they have as well as the price per month. I plan to call back and make an appointment to visit.

  Great community, amenities are wonderful. Nice accommodating staff also! Looking forward to whats in store and love my two bedroom.
