  I lived at Ocean Pebbles for one year and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. Throughout my tenancy, I dealt with recurring roach issues that never seemed to be fully resolved despite reporting them. There were also maintenance concerns, including deteriorating stairs, a balcony that appeared unsafe when I moved in, a washer and dryer that were falling apart, and mold issues under the sink that took months to be addressed. One summer, our air conditioning stopped working and we were without AC for about a week. The communication and response from management and maintenance during that situation was frustrating. My biggest concern came after move-out. A significant portion of my security deposit was withheld for carpet replacement and odor treatment. This was surprising because maintenance and office staff had entered the apartment multiple times during my tenancy and never raised concerns about a strong odor. I disagree with the assessment that the carpet required replacement and will be posting photos so others can judge for themselves. The rent and location may seem appealing, but in my experience the lower rent came with ongoing maintenance issues and a lack of urgency when problems were reported. This property has potential, but management and maintenance need to do a much better job addressing resident concerns and maintaining the apartments. I hope ownership takes these issues seriously and makes improvements for future tenants.

  I had plans to move back to the beach and really had my heart set on this place. I called in plenty of advance, I applied and then nothing. I could not get anyone to call me back or respond to an email so I decided this is not the place for me. If this is how Cathy treats people looking to move in I can only imagine how careless she is when you finally move in and are stuck. This was really sad to see how awful the communication was when I was so excited. When I called to tell them that I changed my mind and why they could have cared less. Never again. I won't even ever recommend this place. I found something nicer and closer to the beach and will make sure to tell everyone how awful this process was.
