  We have lived here for 2 years and Fire alarms go off constantly in the middle of the night. Happens way too often. Elevators are always broken. If the elevator gets fixed, a month later it’s broken again. It’s been 6 months and still only 1 working elevator. Garage doors will stop working from time to time. Package room is always a mess and you can never find your packages. The Paint/ walls in our unit are cracking and peeling. The washing machines sound like a jet engine. In the 2 years here, these issues continue being a problem with seemingly no fix. Would not recommend this place if you like un disturbed sleep. You will be woken up in the middle of the night on a bimonthly basis due to the fire alarms.

  I like this place it feels home, all the team is very helpful. Tamia and Gabi makes a great team they are always available to assist, very welcoming and professional.

  Highgate has gone downhill so much. Leaks and machinery breakdowns; promised repairs never properly done; lost hot water, corridors and common areas freezing in fall and winter; muggy, roaches and bugs in summer and fall. Not the workers’ fault, but tightfisted Kettler’s cutbacks on upkeep and staffing. As longtime residents, we’ve suffered ever worsening conditions as management drives to pump up profits. Kettler’s latest strategy of superficial change (like slapping on some paint in public areas) doesn’t cut it against newer build and renovated apartment complexes in the area offering rent incentives that make them far better values.

  Do not recommend this apartment. I’ve lived here for almost two months, and I still haven’t received my room fob because the leasing office keeps telling me their IT team is “working on it.” Apparently it takes two months just to make a key fob. Before I moved in, the staff showed me the unit and told me it had a balcony. On move-in day, I found out it didn’t. That was extremely disappointing and misleading. The property itself has had ongoing issues as well. The garage door has been broken multiple times since I moved in. Package management is poor—packages are simply left in the mailroom without any supervision, which raises security concerns. I’ve experienced multiple outages affecting things like the power and washing machines, making it frustrating to live here. Overall, the management has been unresponsive, communication has been poor, and the quality of the property does not justify the rent. I would not recommend living here. There are many better apartment options in Tysons.

  (Edit 06/26/2026) Management lied in its response on 6/24 - Elevator and garage doors are still out; kids still making noises/playing balls in common area; nasty unwelcome creatures are still crawling around., hallway carpets are dirty. (06/24/2026) Can’t wait for my Highgate lease to end😢 I was resigned to constant elevator and garage door outages, rowdy kids, etc. But now we have nasty brown things the size of my nails running in the halls - roaches or something else??! I stomped on one and its crunchy remains stayed on the stained carpets along with other bits of trash for weeks🤮
