  I lived at Century Bridges (formerly South 16) for four years during medical school, and I can confidently say it is THE BEST place to live for anyone in the healthcare field in Roanoke. Its location is unmatched as it is directly across the street from the medical school, and with the new building coming up near the SIM center, it’s only going to get more accessible. For anyone without a car, this is a lifesaver. The SIM center and med school are well within walking distance (across the street). It’s also a perfect spot for residents as the hospital is only 10 mins away by walking. The community is great as it houses so many residents, doctors, nurses, and students. The lobby area is clean and comfortable and great for hosting small gatherings or watching TV. The rooftop offers some of the best views in the city. There is a nice gym area as well. The management is what makes this place amazing. Emily and her team took over the management about a year ago and I can confidently say that this place has improved multiple times over. The team is extremely active, from using Instagram for daily and monthly updates with prizes and giveaways to surprise treats and events throughout the month. You’ll frequently see Emily walking around checking in on tenants making sure that everyone is doing well. She is incredibly personable and truly makes an effort to get to know you. Just as important as the maintenance crew. It is truly top tier. Whenever an issue arises, it is addressed and fixed extremely fast even on holidays and off hours. I would highly recommend Century Bridges to anyone moving to the Roanoke area, especially students and those in the health care field.

  I had to put in a maintenance ticket for a microwave and sink issue. O came in and fixed everything. He was so nice and professional. He highly recommend Century Bridges. Emily and her staff are all wonderful!!

  Emily and her team have completely elevated the resident experience since taking over. They consistently go above and beyond—just yesterday they organized free watercolor portraits for residents and today they surprised us with a homemade snack spread. So thoughtful! It’s clear they genuinely care about the community. The office is staffed, responsive, welcoming, and it’s always stocked with snacks and refreshments. The property itself is very well maintained—the halls and common areas are deep cleaned regularly, and the grounds are routinely maintained. No place is perfect, but the location is unbeatable, and the effort the team puts into giving back to residents really sets this community apart.
