  I want to write how grateful I am for the entire staff of The Scout. I have been a resident of the community for three years and I have lived in two different apartments. I have never experienced a more courteous, energetic and thoughtful team in the rental industry than here. The property manager, Brandon, is kind and resourceful. His sense of urgency is unmatched and the same can be written about the property maintenance staff. When I submit a service request it is addressed immediately. In the summer, I toured several rental properties in the area but none came remotely close to the cleanliness, activity focused and high level of customer service that one experiences as a resident of the Scout. I feel so fortunate to have this staff on-site. Be proud and stay the course!

  I’ve lived at The Scout for the past three years and have had such a positive experience. The team is friendly, responsive, and genuinely supportive of their residents. They’ve gone above and beyond to partner with me as I build my small business, Paperback Pours, and even helped make it possible to host a Sip & Read event in the clubroom. The community spaces are always clean and welcoming, and there’s a great sense of community here. I’m really grateful to call The Scout home and would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking in Scott’s Addition.

  With the benefit of hindsight, I can say that living here for 6 months was not one of my best decisions. The location and view from my balcony were great, but the overall experience could have been better! Some of my major issues are as follows (1) Parking: not enough free parking spots and even the paid ones have a wait list and there’s no guarantee when you’ll get a spot. I pretty much felt like I couldn’t go anywhere in my car past a certain time in the evening because I was guaranteed not to find parking when I returned. This one time I even made the mistake of leaving my car in the restaurant parking lot when I couldn’t find parking and ended up paying $200 to get my car back from towing (2) The apartment collects dust faster than you can say dust. It might have been a problem with the ventilation system but I was always cleaning this lint-like dust from everywhere. Luckily, I didn’t have any dust allergies. (3) The electrical stove in the apartment is the snowflake of stoves. A stain formed on the stove top from a single time when I was boiling water in a pot to make pasta - not even on the highest heat setting - and that was enough for the stove top to be replaced and me to be charged for it when I vacated. (4) Despite getting cleaners ($150) to throughly clean the apartment the day before I left, the apartment was not considered clean enough to not be charged after vacating. Sure, I forgot a few things in the fridge, some hangers, etc, but the amount I was charged after leaving the place seemed unseasonably high. (5) They have a mail room for packages, and if someone sent you something as a surprise and you don’t think to look in the package room, you will probably go forever without ever knowing that you got a package. No one from the staff periodically checks for unclaimed packages and informs the recipients. Also, even when you’re expecting a package, there is absolutely no organization to how packages are kept in the mail room and it’s quite a task to look through packages and find yours. In retrospect, I think I could’ve found a better place that would have satisfied all my needs and had an overall better experience

  Extremely enjoy living at the Scout! This staff is phenomenal, like grade A staff. I relocated from Charlotte and have lived in multiple apartment complexes and this staff has been extremely helpful in finding a new home in a new city. The location and actually apartment is AMAZING! Walking distance from great restaurants, breweries, and entertainment. The actual apartments have amazing water pressure in the shower, nice storage, extremely spacious floor plan, and great amenities! If you are anything like I am when it come to looking for a new apartment, second guessing everything. Well it stops here! Don’t second guess this one, they deliver it all and more!
