Recently I filled out application for 2 br apartment at this location because of good reviews and location. I met all qualifications on criteria for being a tenant. After paying $50 application fee and $250 security deposit, i was told that my application was denied? When I inquired as to why, I was told because of a failed back ground check and a chapter 13 bankruptcy that I filed 2 years ago. I was kind of confused because the chapter 13 was filed by my lawyer for back taxes which has been paid and current to date. I currently owe no taxes . And I haven't had a criminal record(Especially in Virginia)in over 30 plus years since time i resided in North Carolina. At which time, it was a non violent offense that is currently in process of being expunged and pardoned. I drive for a living with TWIC card and Hazmat that requires national background checks often. My background is good enough to go through ports, airports and military bases. but not good enough to rent a apartment? Makes me wonder, was it really the background or an excuse not to rent to me? Its crazy when you're are labeled because of your past. That's why your past is your past. It should not dictate your future.I've been residing and renting at my current location for 3 years and my past or background never come into question when it comes to paying my rent. And what's so ironic, the same website, Loft living , in which Park West End use for their application process, is the same website where I pay my current rent? Park West End passed judgment on me and labeled me and it had nothing to do with what they stated.

This place is extremely unprofessional and incapable of dealing with health and safety codes. I have had a bedbug infestation for multiple weeks with no care and urgency towards it from any of the managers, as they seemed content to just let me live with the infestation. This is unacceptable and is nothing has been done to resolve the issue. Then, when trying to resolve the issue, the managers placed the blame on me and suggest I brought them in when they came from the vents. I suggest you never lease here.

I recently toured Park West End and had a great experience! The community felt welcoming and the apartments were very spacious for the price, which is hard to find. I also loved how affordable everything was compared to other places I looked at in the area. The staff was amazing very friendly, informative, and made the whole tour comfortable without making me feel pressured. Based on my visit, this definitely seems like a great community and I’m strongly considering making it my new home!

Extremely mediocre apartment complex. I lived here for a year and was counting down the days of my lease ending towards the end. The apartments are dirty when you move in (carpet stains, dog hair everywhere despite not owning a dog, dirty floors, etc) and there are so many silverfish. We did not have a roach problem as other reviewers mentioned, but found many spiders and other bugs. Our microwave was broken for the first several weeks we moved in due to the leasing office having rules on the maintenance team ordering a new one for us. We also had multiple issues with the toilets, showers, water heater, and fridge breaking. Federico was the only kind leasing office staff and others were passive aggressive. The only good thing about this place was open parking for residents and guests and the maintenance team. Due to so many things going wrong with our apartment, maintenance was in our unit once if not several times a month and we got to know them pretty well. That team is all very friendly and hard working. Hands down the best maintenance staff I've seen for an apartment. All in all, you get what you pay for and if you need a cheap place to live it isn't awful and is doable until you can find/afford something better but I wouldn't recommend this place to friends/family.

I hate this place so much if you're looking to get an apartment here please don't. All of the community washing machines and dryers are such a hassle. The dryers can run for an hour and 30 minutes and still aren't dry just costing you more money and more money. They know these are problem and aren't doing anything
