  Loved touring these apartments. I left happy and Tyonia was great help! She made the experience really nice. Tyonia was very informative and answered all of my questions no problem.

  I lived at Colonial Apartments and unfortunately had a very negative experience, especially during my second lease term. I dealt with a serious mice infestation that I reported multiple times, but there were never any real or lasting solutions provided. I have photos of rat droppings, visible holes in the unit, and videos of rats actively running around even during daytime hours. Because of this issue, I ended up having to throw away a large portion of my wardrobe. My first year there was actually okay and I only saw a few mice, but after renewing my lease everything got significantly worse. The units themselves are extremely old and feel poorly maintained and “slapped together.” Management was also very frustrating to deal with. Emails were often ignored or went nowhere, and when I did get responses, I would be told one thing only to be told something completely different by someone else. The only positive I can say is that the community itself is quiet and I didn’t have issues with neighbors. Overall, I’m very thankful my lease ended at the end of April and I no longer live there.

  I will give a shoot out to Tiana in the rental office her she is Phenomenal with her customer service was on top with everything that deal with a New Resident at Colonial Apartment renter insurance , Dominion Power was calling her client to make they don't need anything or how can she assist with the problem situation. Day to sign the lease went over everything in detail ask the right question and most of all was patience and empathy. Thank You for your assistance!

  Recently moved in and sadly i wish i was having a better experience. Imagine transitioning after someone passes in your family having to move your move in day further out just to move in and nothing was prepared and nothing properly works in the unit. The AC u it had to be replaced and STILL doesn’t work. The patio area looks like it hadn’t been maintained since 2003 and they refuse to clean it. There are wasp and bees nests everywhere and i have two small children with allergies to bees and I’m not and should not have to risk my safety for something that should have been taken care of BEFORE i moved in. Mind you i could still be in my other home cause that lease STILL isn’t up yet. We haven’t been accommodated for the inconvenience, nobody hasn’t even come by to check the property. Fast forward i have a bucket of chalk on my back balcony and boom i get a violation on my door, are yall insane? Mind you everytime maintance have come they leave a mess and all their unnecessary things behind that we have to clean up or begged to be picked up! I pay more here then i do for my HOUSE monthly, this is ridiculous as I’m a new resident, suffering through grief, this has been an annoying process that i am slowly regretting. Tiyonna is pleasant, however. Very sweet girl
