If I could give this place ZERO stars, I absolutely would. Honestly, one star is far too generous for an apartment complex that is completely unprofessional, unresponsive, disorganized, and downright incompetent. Living here was an absolute nightmare from start to finish. Throughout my entire time in the unit, I dealt with water damage, leaks, pest issues, stolen packages, doors that don’t properly lock, repeated towing issues, and trash not being picked up as promised, and somehow, the leasing office consistently managed to do absolutely nothing about it. You would genuinely think the leasing office has nobody working in it because getting anyone to respond is practically impossible. They have no problem charging residents fees when they fail to provide the services they advertise. They’ll charge you for not returning your trash can on time while simultaneously failing to pick up the trash like they’re supposed to. So basically, you’re paying rent to be inconvenienced, ignored, and charged for their own failures. My rent payments were also incorrect on multiple occasions. There were months where I overpaid, and despite repeatedly reaching out, the issue was never properly resolved because the leasing staff were too unresponsive to actually handle it. Apparently, getting someone to answer an email, return a phone call, or simply just be in the office to do the job they were paid to do is too much to ask.
Then came move-out. I moved out over a month ago and still had not received my security deposit. After NUMEROUS emails and phone calls trying to get an answer, I was finally told that my deposit had been sent to the unit I had JUST moved out of. The level of incompetence is honestly impressive. Then they deducted $200 for “cleaning” despite the apartment being thoroughly cleaned before I left and another $11 for who knows what. So after dealing with months of problems that were never properly addressed, I’m also expected to accept a questionable cleaning charge on top of it? Absolutely ridiculous.
This place has been one inconvenience after another, and the leasing office somehow makes every problem ten times worse through their complete lack of communication, organization, and accountability. Do not let the nice pictures, amenities, the sweet first impressions, or whatever they tell you during the leasing process fool you. Once you sign that lease, you’re on your own.
I wouldn’t recommend this place to anybody ever. The apartment itself was bad enough, but the leasing office made the entire experience unbearable. If you value your money, your time, your peace, your belongings, or simply being able to get someone to respond when you have an actual problem, please choose to live somewhere else because you’re not going to get it at Perry Street Lofts. Based off my experience this review is fairly mild to the things I could say. Absolutely the worst apartment experience I have ever had. Never again.
