⭐☆☆☆☆ 1-Star Review – Ongoing AC Issues and Unacceptable Customer Service My experience at Impressions Apartments has been extremely disappointing due to the way management has handled an ongoing air conditioning issue and the lack of professionalism shown by staff. My central AC stopped working on June 11 and was not repaired until June 22—a total of 11 days without central air during dangerous summer temperatures. Management provided a portable AC unit, but it only cooled my bedroom. The kitchen, living room, and dining room remained extremely hot and essentially unusable. I was also unable to comfortably use my gas stove and oven, and my use of the dryer was limited because both generated excessive heat throughout the apartment. On June 23, maintenance informed me that a new HVAC unit had been installed. Unfortunately, that “new” unit only worked for approximately 11 days before failing again, leaving me without reliable air conditioning once more. Today, July 6, temperatures are once again in the mid-90s under a heat advisory, and I am dealing with the same issue all over again. During my most recent interaction with maintenance supervisor today, I was told that they didn’t know what was wrong with the unit, but informed me he had 40 years of HVAC experience but here we are again. What was even more disturbing was the maintenance supervisor’s conduct. He told me they were “tired of me calling because they don’t want to have to come to my apartment and hear my mouth.” Those were his exact words. My response if the repair had been completed correctly the first time and the replacement unit had functioned properly, I would not have had to continue calling for ER service. Residents should not be made to feel like they are inconveniencing staff by reporting unresolved maintenance problems. I also told him I was going to keep calling until it was fixed. He also told me I could have just stuck a towel in it. Sir do your job properly. That level of disrespect is completely unacceptable. As a resident paying rent, I have every right to report maintenance issues—especially when they involve essential air conditioning during a heat advisory. To make matters worse, management has refused to provide any rent concession or credit, claiming the portable AC unit was adequate. A single portable unit that cools one bedroom is not an acceptable substitute for a functioning central HVAC system, nor does it restore the full use and enjoyment of the apartment. I understand that equipment failures happen, but how a property responds is what matters. Unfortunately, Impressions Apartments has demonstrated poor communication, a lack of accountability, and unprofessional treatment of residents. I hope management takes these concerns seriously and improves both their maintenance practices and customer service so that future residents do not have to experience what I have endured. Here’s how the supervisor with 40 years of HVAC experience installed the portable AC unit.

I would not recommend this apartment complex. My overall experience was extremely disappointing. Management is difficult to reach, and the woman who owns the property is rarely available when residents need assistance. On the occasions I did interact with her, her attitude was unprofessional and unpleasant. Unfortunately, the same can be said for some of the staff who answer the phones, as customer service was often rude and unhelpful. Another major issue is the roach problem. For any apartment community, pest control should be a priority, but that was not my experience. Residents should not have to constantly deal with concerns about cleanliness and pests in their own homes. Between the poor communication, lack of professionalism, and ongoing pest issues, I cannot recommend living here. Prospective tenants should carefully consider other options before signing a lease.
