The agent was on time. She was very informative about the showing of the house. She had an answer for all the questions that were asked.

This is the second time I’ve attempted to schedule a showing with this company. Once about two years ago and one today. The first showing I show up and was told the agent would arrive shortly, and about 30 mins later I called and was told no agent is coming. Today I set up a showing and arrive about 5 mins later than the scheduled showing. As we pull into the parking lot I see the agent driving away as they text me “left you can reschedule”. Safe to say if I see any listing with PMI, I won’t be wasting my time any further.

I'm shopping for a forever home and PMI Richmond has been highly available for me and very much appreciated. I'm still undecided whether I'm going to buy or rent yet. But if the correct one appears and the time is right, I will buy. I just wish that Virginia had rent to own homes like my friends and family in other states do. This way you can test out the neighborhoods at night as well as the home you're thinking of purchasing. It's a win-win for all involved! Just not in the state of Virginia, that narrows my search down to some other states that offer it.

Extremely disappointing and unprofessional experience with PMI.
They were very quick to take our application money, but after that, communication was terrible. I had to repeatedly call just to get updates on our application. The person I dealt with, Brenda, was extremely rude and dismissive when I tried to ask legitimate questions about the process. At one point, she was even eating while speaking with me on the phone. The entire conversation felt disrespectful and completely lacking in basic customer service.
I was asked to provide numerous documents regarding my income, all of which were submitted. Their own verification system verified my income. I am self-employed and own a business operating in three states, yet I was spoken to in a way that made it seem as though I couldn't possibly afford $2,700 a month in rent.
For perspective, I already own a home on five acres. I am looking to relocate to another area and simply do not want to purchase another home in Virginia right now. Renting is a choice, not an indication that someone cannot afford to buy or pay the rent.
What bothered me most wasn't even the outcome of the application—it was the attitude and the way I was treated throughout the process. No applicant should be spoken down to or made to feel as though someone is "better" than them simply because they are applying to rent a property.
PMI should seriously review how applicants are communicated with and make sure employees dealing directly with the public are trained in professionalism and customer service. If my phone conversation had been recorded and played back, I think management would be very surprised by the tone and behavior.
Based on my experience, the communication was poor, the process was frustrating, and the customer service was completely unacceptable. I would not recommend going through this application process.
