  CARBON MONOXIDE: Probably the most egregious issue was that they did not provided an adequate way to ventilate the carbon monoxide produced by the gas stove in the apartment. This caused the CO detectors to go off every time I cooked and was a serious health issue. I raised this issue immediately upon moving in, but was told the only remedy would be to move the CO detectors to a different room. I had to purchase an electric hot plate to cook instead. MOLD: There was huge mold issue in my apartment when I moved in. This took multiple months of back-and-forth to resolve. The mold itself was a pretty big problem and caused me mild respiratory issues. ROACHES: Roaches were present, but I did not find them to be a huge issue. I would see a couple a month. MAINTENANCE: As you can probably tell from the other reviews, the maintenance team itself is pretty decent. They are timely and do good work. This might be because they have plenty of experience. There are lots of issues that pop up as the buildings are quite old.

  Marhlon & the Maintenance team are phenomenal. They anticipate repairs. I’m truly humbled and happy with the quality of service I’ve received with this team. Marhlon specifically is so kind, so intelligent and so thoughtful as a person in general. Thanks!!!

  I lived here about 3.5 years. Great area to stay if you don’t want to live in the city. The people are friendly at first and then they get weird. If you’re not their skin color, they make you feel like an outcast in the neighborhood and don’t speak. Not only that, when you just mind your business walking out to get in the car or just outside to get air, people always ran inside like someone was a threat to them which is even more weird. Furthermore, i watch people have conversations amongst there same skin color and then when they saw poc they would get dirty looks. That is truly unacceptable and disgusting. Only moved because i NEVER lived in a community where this type of stuff takes place and i never had neighbors that acted in this manner. The crazy part is most of them were way older and acting like that is very diabolical.The walls were extremely thin to the point it was getting too much. 5 stars to maintenance because they were always on point but as far as the living environment wasn’t even worth all of the hassle & the money.
