From the moment we arrived at The Courts at Fairfax Oaks, Elizabeth Roger made us feel completely welcome. Her warmth and professionalism stood out immediately — she took the time to explain every detail about the apartment, the lease terms, amenities, and the community with remarkable clarity, never leaving a question unanswered. The tour she gave us was not only informative but genuinely enjoyable. She has a natural ability to connect with people and make them feel at ease, which is rare and truly appreciated when making such an important decision as choosing a home. Elizabeth is the kind of leasing professional who understands that a client is not just looking for an apartment — they’re looking for a place to live, and she treats that distinction with care and respect. Her customer service skills are outstanding, and she is clearly an asset to the team at The Courts at Fairfax Oaks. We left the visit feeling informed, comfortable, and genuinely excited about the possibility of making this community our home. Highly recommend asking for Elizabeth if you’re considering this property — you won’t be disappointed.

During our tour, Elizabeth Roger was very knowledgeable about all the fees, accommodation, and the move-in process. Despite it being a guided tour she gave us our space when looking around the unit! She was witty and kind and made this one of the best apartment tours I’ve ever had.

I toured this apartment complex a few weeks ago as I was considering moving to this area and wanted to give an honest review in hopes it helps management. The lady who gave the tour was nice, and I considered moving here but several things stood out to me that ultimately made me cancel my application. For one, the buildings all look very old on the outside which made me question how well they were upkept. Secondly, it doesn’t appear that this community uses any type of landscapers as the grass was tall, and bushes and scrubs were very overgrown. My first thought was wondering if the community had a bug/rodent problem due to how bad the landscaping was. Ultimately, I did not like the fact that I was going to have to sign a lease on a unit without ever seeing that unit before signing as someone else already lived there. If I didn’t like the unit I would still be stuck with it. I did think the pool and clubhouse were nice.

It's always something in this place. I went to pay my rent today and there are these two surprise fees of $20 dollars. Twice so an extra surprise $40 dollars. They are labeled as project fee? Who does that? I'm 58 years old and I've never seen anything as weaselly as this. It should be labeled shake down fee. There was never any letter sent out about any upcoming project fees. Have you ever heard of such a thing? Any project they ever do leaves what ever they were working on in a worse state anyway. They redid the gym and the new equipment sucks compare to the old stuff. They never put the shades back up so it's just blaring sun in your eyes the whole time. The air condition is never on and when it is it's still muggy in there. They redid the slow opening gate motors and worked on that for like months and they're still slow to open and break down all the time. They never fixed the walk-in gate in the back to have the fob let you in. I have to roll over the plate in the ground back & forth to get the fob to work on the back gate. They did a "dog park" project and all I can see they did was replace the nice dirt with disgusting looking black tar gravel so the poor dogs will melt in the sun. They took out the nice cement blocks on a woodsy path going to the mail box center and trash dumpster and just left it as dirt. So it gets soaked in the rain. For this they charge me an extra $40 bucks. It's such a gut punching surprise to go out to the portal to pay your rent and instead of seeing: $22xx.xx you see: $23xx.xx This is disgusting. They should be ashamed of themselves.

DO NOT MOVE IN WITHOUT DOING A WALKTHROUGH 48hr BEFORE. They'll give you an apartment where half the stuff doesn't work and you'll have to live in a half functional apartment until they get around to fixing it. APARTMENT DOOR LOCKED US IN THE FIRST NIGHT AND HAD TO CALL THE LEASING AGENT BECAUSE EMERGENCY MAINTENANCE LINE WAS DOWN. Also at the time our dryer vent was not attached creating a hugeee fire hazard considering we were on the 3rd floor and unable to leave the apartment. Leasing agens are nice until you sign then they could care less. Gates constantly breaking and left open leaving vehicles open to break-ins. Key fobs only open the front gate so if you live near the back gate you have to go all the way around (don't let them lie saying there are two entrances because there's not). Community fees are clearly pocketed as they don't go to fixing the weathered grills around the complex, dilapidated "garden" area, messy tennis courts, deteriorated walking path, or restocking bathroom amenities when they're actually unlocked. Gym equipment and respective bathrooms are not maintained to a high standard (half of the equipment has been broken for months, and is still broken; gym bathrooms have been closed for months because homeless people come in to use them so instead of securing the building for resident safety by making it key fob access like the gym, they chose the cheaper route by just locking the bathrooms 24/7 therefore eliminating resident use and leaving the building unsecured for entrance by non-residents). Maybe the community building wouldn't smell like human piss outside if residents were able to use the bathrooms. Pool hours are absolute trash and lifeguard presence is unreliable. Only positive thing i have to say is the two guys that work maintenance are very nice. Pet fees are ridiculous as the dog park is in a state of disrepair. The "water fountains" in the dog park do not work and look like they haven't in years. All they do is collect stagnant water in their clogged bowl creating a breeding ground for mosquitoes dead center in the dog park. In addition to this, the trash can lid for dog poop is completely broken and falls off, allowing for flies and other pests to swarm around the dog poop. Don't ask about the smell. Trash cans around the complex fill TO THE RIM before they're emptied (photos uploaded). How many hundreds of bags of dog poop do you really think is acceptable to allow to accumulate before you actually empty the community waste cans. Recycling dumpster (singular) is overflowing on a weekly basis and trash compactor is also usually overfilled likely attracting pests and other wildlife (photos uploaded). Management clearly only cares about signing leases and putting on a good show for prospective residents. Don't believe me? Ask any resident you see when you tour. Watch, they'll respond to this review and say "oops sorry about that, please email us with more information." Nope thats no longer my issue. Goodbye and good riddance.
