  Clayton Homes – The Worst Investment I’ve Ever Made Buying a home from Clayton Homes has been one of the biggest mistakes of my life. The poor craftsmanship, ongoing issues, and complete lack of support make this home feel like it was thrown together with paper clips and duct tape. Major Issues I’ve Dealt With: •Poor Construction: The drywall seams constantly pop, the trim falls off, and even the entire door frame to my master bedroom shifts. •Leaking & HVAC Issues: The hood vent over the stove leaks, and I’ve already had HVAC problems after just 3 years. •Roof Defects: My shingles keep blowing off, and entire sections have curled back—yet when I was brushed off to my home warranty or insurance, they tried to blame it on “storms” instead of faulty installation (again it’s only 3 years old). •Poor Yard Grading: Extremely lumpy yard, water pools and drains horribly due to the sloppy grading job. •Zero Accountability: Even when I was within the one-year manufacturer warranty period, Clayton Homes made every problem seem like my fault. I had to push back hard just to get them to take action. The Worst Customer Experience on the Biggest Purchase of My Life: For something as expensive as a home, you expect quality and support—but Clayton Homes offers neither. Every call for help turns into a battle and getting shuffled around. Now I live with constant anxiety wondering what will break next. I rented a Clayton home for three years with no major issues, but the quality of their new homes has clearly plummeted. If you’re thinking about buying from Clayton Homes, save yourself the stress and look elsewhere.

  I have a lot to say about my brand new Clayton home and none of it is good. And as for the serious issue we have repeatedly reached out about that has been dismissed, I suppose we will have to do it the hard way with our lawyer. I do not recommend this company, most of the finishes in my home are crooked, broken, don't work properly and we have a hole in our well the company refuses to address. We've already had a new voutnertop installed, and our sink is leaking due to crazy installation. Our home is less than year lived in. I am completely unhappy with the quality and this company. Our door has "been fixed still doesn't properly line up and close without locking. The fixtures on inside doors stick so far out they have injured my child and myself, every trim is popped off already. I hate this house

  Very low quality. Incompetent contractors. House is falling apart , drawers & doors on kitchen cabinets literally falling apart. Trim on almost every door casing just popping off everywhere. Had to have factory replace roof after only 2 months because of shotty installation. Had them come out to fix non working spigot & still doesn't work. Electrical panel failed & lost power for over a month, lost all food in fridge & stunk. Not much of a respone from Bedford only " thats the product you agreed to buy " & you knew what to expect. No call backs or any effort to help us & we paid in full upfront no loans or financing. Beware
