The staff at Citizen have been very helpful throughout my time there, from the beginning all the way through when my lease was up. Maintenance requests were always answered quickly, and the whole front desk team was always ready to aid where needed. I couldn't recommend them enough! Citizen is a great place and I thoroughly enjoyed my time there!

Jessie has been incredible to work with. I am moving out of state and had concerns about living alone. Jessie reassured me and guided me in the right direction during the application process. Highly recommend working with her!

I rarely leave reviews, but I feel obligated to share my experience to help anyone considering moving here. The only real positive about this apartment community is the location. Beyond that, my experience was extremely disappointing. The biggest issue was the persistent rodent problem. For the entire time I lived here, there were rats in the walls. I repeatedly reported scratching and squeaking noises to maintenance, and while the maintenance staff themselves were always kind and did what they could, they informed me that my downstairs neighbor was reporting the exact same issue. Despite numerous maintenance requests, the problem was never resolved. On one occasion, the scratching and chewing noises in my bedroom walls were so loud that I couldn't even stay in my apartment for the week because it sounded like the rats were going to chew through the wall. It's incredibly frustrating to pay monthly pest control fees while dealing with ongoing rodents and seeing roaches throughout the property. There were also ongoing issues with the parking garage. At one point, the garage door malfunctioned, preventing residents from leaving. Afterward, the garage entrance remained without a functioning door for an extended period. Package delivery was another constant frustration. The package room was consistently disorganized, and the property rarely utilized the package notification system. Instead of receiving notifications, residents were left guessing whether packages had arrived and searching through piles of deliveries to find them. The parking situation is terrible. There is no guest parking, and even resident parking is extremely limited. The advertised amenities were also disappointing. Access to the business center was unreliable because it was often locked, and resident key fobs did not consistently provide access. Finally, my move-out experience has been just as frustrating as my tenancy. I disputed several charges that were deducted from my security deposit and repeatedly requested documentation explaining how certain utility charges were calculated, including copies of the supporting utility invoices. Despite multiple emails and my concerns being escalated to management, I never received the documentation I requested or a clear explanation of several of the disputed charges. I found this community to be overpriced for what it offers. The location is excellent, but the unresolved maintenance issues, lack of communication, parking challenges, and difficult move-out process made this a disappointing place to live. I don't recommend it based on my experience.

Rent was too high for the amount of issues this complex has. Here are the issues that I faced in my only year living here. 1. There were constant roaches in my unit, when filling a maintenance request pest control only came by once and sprayed but it never resolved the issue nor did they inspect the unit to find the nest. 2. There is still an old and unused security system wired into some units that malfunctions. - Only way to resolve this was to cut the wires, the alarm was incredibly loud and only going off in my unit. 3. Management does not provide timely notice of issues, for example: - We had an elevator out for a week and a half to 2 weeks before they emailed everyone letting them know there was no update on when it would be fixed. - While they fixed the previously broken mailboxes, they failed to let everyone know when it was happening and moved all mail into random piles in the package room, then failed to let everyone know that the new mailbox numbers didn't line up the way they used to and had no update on when that would be fixed until a week after it had happened. 4. They were going to charge me for a late move out notice when I had already told them within the 60 days. - They did however immediately remove the charge upon telling them again that I provided adequate notice and emailed proof after I moved out. 5. They do not have a direct phone number to get in touch with maintenance or management after hours. - Similar to point #2, there was an alarm going off in someone else's unit and they were not home, when trying to get ahold of maintenance or management after hours, the AI phone agent would loop through options and would not put you in direct contact with someone. OVERALL: Do not recommend living here, the rent is too high for what they consider "Luxury" Apartments. If you are already planning to move in, I suggest asking management and maintenance if they had pest control inspect for any roach or pest nests and if they have fully removed the old security system.

Great place to live and super cheap compared to other places in the area. Nearly impossible to find an 800sqft 1 bed for 2k a month anywhere else. Yes the elevator drops on occasion but after working in commercial construction these things happen when 100’s of people use it every day. Yes I find the occasional bug run across the floor but these apartments are open to the elements and not in an enclosed building. This is to be expected. I’ve put in maybe 2 maintenance requests in almost a year living here and both were fixed same day or the following day. This place isn’t perfect but it’s an older building and a lot of people don’t realize that. However, the leasing office staff are all amazing and have always been extremely helpful. The only things I would like to see in the future are towing the vehicles sitting in good parking spots with flat tires or 2 year old expired tags on the car. Residents should at least have to keep the vehicle in operating condition to park in the garage. My other Christmas wish list item would be installing the Amazon package lockers like so many other buildings I’ve lived in have. I’m sure it is expensive but it’s nice to scan the app and the locker pops open with my packages vice spending 30 minutes searching for whatever I ordered. Overall though, great place to live. Lots of complainers here but I’ve enjoyed my time and have had no real issues thus far.
