  The Aspen Apartments is located in Alexandria about 1.5 miles from Crystal City and Washington Reagan National Airport. It is hi-rise rental apartment building with spectacular views of Wash. D.C., National airport and the Potomac river from select apartments on higher floors. They run a complimentary shuttle service to and from Crystal City Metro station during weekdays. The building is old but well maintained. It has a swimming pool which seems to be a decent size. It offers studio, 1- and 2-bedroom plans. There is plenty of parking but the car must display a valid sticker provided by the leasing office. The location is very convenient with a grocery store, a pharmacy, a dry cleaning store within walking distance.

  The leasing office is unprofessional and disrespectful to the point of being outright disdainful. They pick a few privileged renters, and when those individuals have complaints, without any proof or any investigation, they take it out on the remainder of the renters. It’s like watching the Stanford Prison Experiment on steroids. Moreover, like everybody they make mistakes; however, if you go to them with a single mistake and an abundance of undeniable proof, they will still insist that they have no accountability. The only decent part is maintenance, which does their job efficiently and respectfully.

  Overall, I had a positive experience touring the building. The Aspen Apartments seems to be a well-maintaned and clean property. The location is a big plus especially for me coming from the Crystal City. The leasing staff members were very professional, friendly, and knowledgeable.
