Great location but I have had poor experience with management. I also discovered they are offering free movie tickets for good reviews. Don’t know which ones are genuine.
Emailed them about a unit from their website and never received a follow up...now that unit is no longer available. Don’t waste your time

Very happy with my experience at Manor House. I had to move to DC for work on short notice, they were very responsive and I signed the lease just over a week after my initial communication.
Pros:
- Solid and spacious apartment (1 bedroom) with plenty of light.
- Utilities
* Gas + Electric never cost more than $70 a month, water is included in rent.
- Transportation
* Braddock station is 10-15 minute walk, DCA is first stop to DC
* Downtown DC is a 10 minute drive (outside of rush hour)
* Free trolley to old-town Alexandria, pick up is across the street from the Hilton at King Street Station (15 min walk south.)
- Parking is plentiful (relative to the rest of the DMV)
* I've never had to park more than a block away from Manor House when working late.
* Never worried about finding spaces for friends or family.
- Paying rent and submitting maintenance orders is easy with their online portal.
- I don't know what kind of witchcraft their pest control company uses, but I didn't see an insect/pest in my apartment the entire year I was there.
- Very low crime per capita compared to rest of DMV.
* Safe to walk around the neighborhood at 3am... I don't know why you would, but you can
- Alyssa is great at keeping residents in the loop about what's going on (i.e. routine maintenance, pest control, etc...). In fact, she made the whole Manor House experience more pleasant with her positive attitude and quick responses/updates.
Cons:
- Weak cell signal
* My apartment might be an anomaly (it was overlooking the entrance), but Verzion, Sprint, T-Mobile had consistently weak connections. Solved problem with face time audio and VoIP.,
- Thin walls/ceiling and floor
* You can definitely hear neighboring apartments, but this issue is mostly limited to the kitchen, and was usually just the upstairs neighbors.
Overall, great experience living at Manor House.

Manor House has provided me with a wonderful living environment. I lived there for 2.5 years and have never had an issue. They do routine bug sprays, probably 3 or 4 times a year which is greatly appreciated. I lived on the first floor and never saw a bug. To me, that’s huge. MAINTENANCE! Best crew in town. I’ve been locked out at 2am, they still helped me out. My drain was clogged, they fixed it the same day. They’re professional and thorough. For Christmas, residents that had been there over two years received Harry & David fruit baskets.. such a nice touch/gesture. The apartments have beautiful hardwood flooring. The landscaping is striking and very well kept. All in all, I can’t thank the staff at Manor House enough for helping make my living experience nothing short of exceptional. I would recommend to anyone.
I have lived at Manor House Apartments for almost 2 years, and the only reason I’m moving is that I’ve purchased a home down in North Carolina! I really loved this apartment for a variety of reasons. First of all, it’s got character and charm (hard wood floors, crown moldings, and other details throughout) that make it a cozier home than all of the giant cookie-cutter buildings going up all over Alexandria and Arlington, not to mentioned the updated kitchen with a gas stove. Second, the location – Del Ray is THE best. If I could pick up this neighborhood and take it with me, I 100% would. Mt. Vernon Ave has everything you could want or need (wine shop, cheese shop, good Mexican food, farmers market, pharmacies, nail places, butcher, legit coffee shops, and so many good restaurants), and right across from the apartment here is a great restaurant on the corner of Monroe & Commonwealth. So convenient. Third, the Manor House team has been incredibly responsive and helpful for anything I’ve needed. There was a leak from the apartment above mine into my bathroom and they could not have been quicker to get it resolved. It was repaired super fast, and looking even better than it did before (not to mention my bathroom got a pretty quality cleaning out of this!). The interior and exterior of the building are kept so well maintained and clean (how there are ALWAYS fresh blooming flowers, I don’t quite know, but there are) – right now they’re in the process of updating the paint and hardware throughout the building. Everyone from the maintenance team to the housekeeping team is friendly, attentive, and I feel like they’re keeping a close eye on the building (as a single female, this is much appreciated). I travel A LOT for work, and always felt super comfortable leaving for trips with my car parked in the lot and knowing my apartment would be unattended for 2, sometimes 3 weeks at a time. Overall, I’ve enjoyed my time at Manor House more than any other building I’ve lived in during my 10 years in the area – and if it weren’t for the move to NC and the home buying itch, I’d stay here much longer. Definitely take advantage of an opening here if you see one come up!
