  This is my 4th private student-housing property, and Montaire has been the most expensive and disappointing one so far. The location is not as convenient to the University of Utah as other private student housing options, especially considering the price. For what you pay here, I expected much more. My biggest issue has been management. I dealt with ongoing noise from an upstairs neighbor—stomping, jumping, and banging late at night—and didn’t feel management did enough to address it. The situation eventually escalated and I was charged a lease-violation fee. I also had a very unprofessional experience with corporate staff regarding items in the community kitchen. They came banging on my door sling to take out my stuff which I had already agreed that I was going to go get them and then banged again less than three minutes later… rushing me to handle the situation. We are adults paying a lot of money to live here, and I don’t think residents should be treated that way; even if it is corporate… There are better and closer student-housing options near the U. If you’re a parent looking for housing for your college student, I would seriously compare other options before choosing Montaire

  I live here currently, terrible communication. The staff here makes it very hard to understand charges, and they were terrible when I was trying to move in. They were trying to make me pay a full month of rent when I was going to be there only for two weeks because of the construction they caused. I will no longer be living here after my lease is up. Don’t live here if you are a student, it’s over priced and lots of hidden fees. If you do choose to live here make sure you have an attorney.

  Great amenities, the staff are so nice and helpful. Love that it's right next to Fairmont park!
