- CWChris WSep 22, 20261.0At the end of my 1-year warranty. I had to file a complaint with The Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs to get Clayton to respond. They have 30 days to make State Ordered Repairs or they can be fined and could loose their license. After the minimum state repairs are made your only other option is Arbitration which is part of your contract agreement. No customer should ever have to deal with all of the hassle but, that is what we agree to when we do business. We don't have to like it but we have to agree to it (in the contract). So, if it is important enough for you to go through the hassle, there is a path.
