  As it pertains to VINCENT- he was awesome. So responsive and he made me feel like he cared about how we felt. We had a few hiccups and he was big on service recovery to make things right. Even though none of those things were really in his control. He facilitated conversations and made connections to ensure we got what we needed or to correct anything out of sorts we had concerns or issues with. He is a gem and he makes this business shine!

  Vince at Academy home found our dream home. Everything that he said he would do he did. You can trust him! If you give him a chance he will get you exactly what you are looking for. He went over and beyond for my family and we will forever be grateful. So thankful we stopped by Academy homes on our house search.

  I had a great experience with Academy Homes of Tyler. Miguel Ramirez was my salesman, and he was outstanding from start to finish. He was knowledgeable, patient, and took the time to answer all of my questions without ever making me feel pressured. He made the entire home-buying process smooth and stress-free.   Great to buy from. They will answer questions right away and let you walk through houses as much as you want until you find the one you want. This would’ve been 5 star if it hasn’t been downhill since signing paperwork. (Long read but real issues with proof) I brought up my issues when I did walk through after services were connected. Main issues were AC not reaching 2nd bedroom/bathroom and my ac vents were suppose to be in the ceiling and they are in the floor. I immediately let my salesman know of these issues. It took a 2 weeks the first time for someone to come look at the ac. Not because they were booked, but because no one was responding to me. I had to message multiple times to get the service guy to come. Once he came, he said everything looked good and nothing was damaged. I called and ask what the next step was because it’s still warm in the room. They said they will call the manufacturer and get them to come out. Again, another 2/3 weeks to get someone to come out. And once again, not due to scheduling, it was because no one was reaching out to the manufacturer to get them here. I had to call the main office 3 times and speak to a manager to get this done. I finally talked to my original salesman and explained the ac situation, we spoke about the vent situation. He told me that the unit that goes inside the house usually is smaller when the vents are in the ceiling. So I brought up, well mine were suppose to be there but they’re in the floor. Is it possible that I got the smaller unit due to my vents originally being on the ceiling but ended up being in the floor. He said that could be possible and he would look into that. Still haven’t heard anything about it. Lastly, the vents (again). Since my trailer wasn’t correct, it was brought up that I could get reimbursed the difference for the issue. Cool, that’s fine. The issue? It’s been a month and half and still haven’t got anything. I have talked to the manager and still nothing. I got a call 7/7 saying that they will finally give me a check for the difference but it’ll be done in a week when office manager is back from vacation. Okay cool, finally getting somewhere. Was suppose to get it today and I confirmed Wednesday. Get a call at 9am, “hey can’t give you a check, will have to be a gift card” at this point, whatever cool let’s do it. Reached out again at 2:45pm, was told to talk to office manager. Office manager told me only owner can do that, and guess what? Owner went to vacation today until the 28th. Asked if there was something else that can be done because at this point, it’s been 2 months and I’m tired of dealing with this. She said she would have someone reach out to me today after she spoke to GM to see what can be done. No call. I called at 4:56pm. Both managers are gone until Monday. Overall story (probably goes for all sales), your purchasing experience will be great, but hope you don’t need anything after or have any issues because they will not respond to you. Look at previous reviews, this has been an issue. I have all my proof saved of each issue I’ve ran into so I hope the owner or GM can reach out to me and resolve this issue. I really wanted to buy here again when my family grows larger but I will be avoiding this place.
