  I am a single mother with 2 small children as listed on the rental agreement. This was going to be my first place on my own after recently going through a divorce. The apartment was not ready and I was not able to see what it looked like. It liked less than 2 weeks being ready. I paid a $350 deposit for the apartment. Less than 10 days later l was told the apartment was ready and I went to see the upstairs unit and pay the rent. When I saw the apartment and realized that it had a patio door in the room that would be the room for my 4 and almost 2 year old girls, I told the manager Lynette that in fear for the safety of my children I could not rent the unit. I never dreamed there would be a door in their room. What would happen if they opened the door and managed to fall off the balcony. Even worse if someone broke into the door at night and took my girls. Lynette refused to give me back my deposit. The lease agreement states according to pg 3 of the TAA rental application for residents that a deposit would be refunded if the unit had not been seen and the apartment was notified in the appropriate time line the I wanted to withdraw the application. She was rude and I would not recommend renting from this apartment complex. The way they take advantage of people is totally acceptable. Thank you for you're response. I would love to contact you but I have no way of getting ahold of anyone other than the apartment manager Lynette Brown whom I have spoken with on 2 separate occasions and both times refused to refund my deposit. The apartment has my information. I made the 2nd attempt to get my deposit refunded about a week ago. She is very aware who I am and still has all my information. I would appreciate you reaching out to her and contacting by the phone on my application. I told her that I would take this to small claims Court and she said to go right ahead.

  I have never had such an easy and welcoming experience with finding an apartment. The staff were extremely kind, helpful, and caring. It took virtually no time waiting for an apartment after my application. The apartment looked lovely and it is very affordable. I got my keys and look forward to having movie nights at the pool!! #LoveLivingAtRiverRanch
