  We moved in October 2024 after looking at several other competitors. Mariposa won our attention because of the community atmosphere - all apartments connect with an indoor, air conditioned and carpeted hallway. They have a beautiful courtyard with lots of shade and a nice pool fitted for the handicapped, and we were blessed to secure a unit with a porch and front room window overlooking that courtyard! Beautiful! Community events are well attended and mostly handled by a group of resident ladies that take their jobs seriously! Plans are underway for updating a few areas, although they are really not bad just as they are! A fast food and three less casual restaurants are within walking distance. Parking is mostly inside a gated area and shaded parking is available for an added rental amount. The Dog Park is adequate and well used my residents that own furry friends!! I would encourage anyone looking for a nice one or two bedroom to rent to look first at Mariposa at Hunter Rd, especially if the items mentioned above seem appealing to you.

  THE SECURITY HERE IS A JOKE JUST LIKE THE WOMEN WORKING IN THE FRONT OFFICE ARE. I am a young woman who was GROPED by a male who seemed to be in his late 20-30’s, while waiting for the elevators so I can deliver food. I yelled at the guy and loud enough for help, and all I got from the lady who was working in the front there was a “he has a mental disability, don’t yell at him like that” THAT DOES NOT JUSTIFY HIS ACTIONS. SEXUAL ASSAULT SHOULD NEVER BE DEFENDED!!!! THERE ARE NO EXCUSES FOR HIS BEHAVIOR. To make matters worse, as I walked back to the elevator after the guy left the building, I could hear other WOMEN talking loudly about how I made a “big deal” and how I “overreacted.” It is HIGHLY DISAPPOINTING to hear those words from a group of WOMEN, who instead should protect each other and defend other women, ESPECIALLY YOUNG WOMEN, from PREDATORS and CREEPS like this man. My experience from the administration here at this apartment should be loudly known, and should tell y’all what kind of people they are. DO BETTER .
