  This is what they call “luxury” mid-rise apartments. Trash has been piling up outside the compactor and overflowing from the dog waste stations for over a week. The mattresses shown in these photos have been sitting there since before last week’s heavy storms. The smell from trash sitting in the Texas heat for days is overwhelming. Despite this ongoing issue, I have not seen it adequately addressed by maintenance or the office. I reported the conditions to the city because they had continued for so long. Unfortunately, this is only one of several issues I’ve experienced while living here. Based on my experience, I would not recommend renting here.

  Excellent experience living at the Abbey. Cool events, the admin staff is super helpful and responsive, and maintenance is super capable/timely. Probably, one of my best apartment experiences in South Texas.

  We have lived here for two years, and we love it! The complex is clean and quiet. Office staff is helpful and maintenance deals with situations that arise quickly. Best decision ever!

  DO NOT sign your lease here!!! I have complained more than 6 times about my neighbor’s dog constantly barking super early almost every day from 6–8 AM for absolutely no reason. Mind you, I get home from work at 4 AM, so sleep is already limited. The lack of care and common decency for residents’ complaints is honestly ridiculous. I called the office again , and the lady told me to call non-emergency when the dog is barking… like what?? How is this still being allowed after multiple complaints? On top of that, they complain about EVERYTHING and try to charge you for every little thing possible. They recently started charging a $25 fee if your trash can isn’t brought in on time. Half the time the valet trash service doesn’t even pick up the trash, yet we’re paying around $107 monthly for it. One day my trash sat out longer because it was never picked up, and they immediately sent me an alert trying to charge me $25. When I explained the trash service never came, they basically told me I could just throw the trash away myself. Then what exactly am I paying the monthly fee for??? Another issue is how close the apartments are to the parking garage. You can hear EVERYTHING neighbors’ cars, people talking outside, doors slamming, and constant noise at all hours. The apartments are built so close together that you barely get any natural sunlight inside, which honestly makes the place feel gloomy and depressing over time. To make things worse, they moved me into a unit where the toilet constantly gets clogged. I’ve had to plunge it so many times, and it has flooded inside my apartment multiple times. For the amount of money residents pay to live here, basic maintenance issues like that should not keep happening. For these apartments to be this expensive, they absolutely do not meet the standards or care for their residents the way they should.if I can leave no stars on this review I absolutely would!
